Nigerians are now required to have a minimum of $1000 (N362000) in cash before visiting another country.

The purported new rules was made known by Olumide Babalola Esq. in a series of tweets on his official twitter handle.

Babalola disclosed that he was confronted by the men of the Nigerian Immigration Service with a document titled “General Travel Requirements” on his way out of the country with his family.

He said, “I was confronted by your men at the airport yesterday with a document titled “General Travel requirements” which mandates every Nigerian visiting another country to have a minimum of $1k as Basic Travel Allowance.”
