Please, who would be kind enough to help tutor me in listening and reading? I keep getting 29-33 in listening and 29-31 in reading. I am based in Abuja.

You must have noticed the areas you usually fail. Using myself as an example, initially in my Reading practice, the T/F/NG section usually have me failing most of the questions, so I read up on it. I used ieltsadvantage, a website and I don't fail it that much again. For the matching and MCQs, I ensure I read the question carefully even as I am reading it quickly. Answering these questions in a haste might lead you into picking the wrong answers. To create more time for them, I answer the questions where you have to complete the sentence or fill in words as they are faster to do.

For the Listening, 100% concentration cannot be overemphasized. You have to be focused all through as a fleeting of your mind for some seconds can lead you into losing up to 3 answers and it is advisable to concentrate on the next questions if you find yourself losing track of the recording. You can always come back to guess them rather than leaving them blank. Listening, without losing track of the lectures or conversations should give you a good mark, provided your answers are correctly spelt and grammatically-correct. Personally, I observe issues with the maps and still working on it. For the maps, it is essential one goes through the map thoroughly, knowing where each place is on the map and also knowing where the starting point or entrance is. I do find myself searching for places in the map as they are being mentioned and I lose track, so I am still practicing on this.

As always, you are to check out for areas that you are weak in and work on them. And it is also noteworthy that in the Listening test, not only our listening skills are tested, our vocabulary is also tested. There may be paraphrasing or making use of synonyms, as exact words in the questions may not be used. And this one also, distractors. Watch out for distractors. Don't just put down the first name, or number you hear. Make sure it is the right one. There are times the speaker changes his/her mind or corrects him/herself. You should also endeavour to not just only practise but read up on or watch IELTS-related materials.
I wish you good luck and success as I wish myself also.

P.S: I was trying to reply to the request on the 1st paragraph. I am not certain I did it right.
thank you even though I did not ask the que but I benefitted ftom it. That map is my issue too. Must map be included in the listening que? I pray I do not meet it even if I do I pray it's a simple one. Writing next month.

Happy Sunday and our Muslim landers, happy Eid El Kabir
I am thinking of the PNP ROUTE. Because of my score at 455. Re-writing ielts to max the score is 50-50, remarking too is 50-50. I sincerely don't feel like doing it again. So I am thinking of expressing my interest for Alberta province and if it doesn't come as early as I expect, I will show interest for Saskatchewan. My first and second degrees: Mass Communication. My Saskatchewan PNP is 63 and the cut off is 60. It's just that I prefer Ontario or Alberta.
With this, I won't even have to wait for my hubby's ECA or ielts but it would reduce my crs score.

Please what do you think about this route.

That is your correct NOC. Cartoonist is also part of that NOC group. Go with it. Ensure the duties in that NOC matches your JD, not just your job title.

Please house my noc is giving me a little concern, 5241, am an animator, cartoon animator, my duties are not listed but it seems they just packed us into one place both graphics designer and animator and Co, I will be glad if recommendations is given thanks.

There are two issues. First, NOC 0621 is managerial but your JD is not. Second, one of the major requirements of the NOC is either you are employed by wholesale/retail establishments or you own and operate your store. You fall in neither groups, except you claim that your home doubles a retail store but how do you defend that for a retail/wholesale business? Would you claim customers come to your house to buy the items arranged in a part of your house?. It's up to you

I would have recommended 6222 since you buy and resell but it is NOC C and ineligible for EE.
hamddy:
@Topsmamen, munoftwins2017, @ladymarshall etc.

I do not have a supermarket or shop, I buy on demand only, though I keep excess of some bulk items at home for resale at the next request which is usually the following month.

My JD are,

Sourcing for corporate companies to do business with
Receive their requests for quote, source for best prices,
Do a quote for the requested items
Receive a Purchase Order via email.
Buy the goods and deliver all within agreed time frame
As registered vendors we also do 3rd party payments on their behalf to companies not on their database.
Prepare invoices for submission.
Filing
Tax remittance (VAT only).

These are the major things I do. Its a one man soldier company with adhoc staffs when necessary.

I thought of CORPORATE SALES MANAGER NOC 0601 but reading though. it looks technical that's why I opted for NOC 0621, but I do not have a shop/store.

Please help me.

Thank you.

Post your JD, let's be double sure. But no other NOC fits with a cartoon animator better than that. Animation is part of graphic design

PNP is part of EE, only a different route to boost your scores. If you get a nomination, that guarantees you an ITA with 600 points, you still have to apply to CIC at the federal level which all EE applicants do. Check page 1, google or the pnp thread for more info.

Hey guys can anyone tell what the pros of EE over PNP please

Junior high school in Canada is education between primary and secondary school. It's also called middle school and only done in some provinces. We don't have that in Nigeria. As a secondary school teacher, your NOC is 4031

Unfortunately, your call agent JD fits only NOC 6552. No matter how you reword it, it's frontline customer service. Also it's not advisable to reword JDs to fit a different NOC than the original. VOs would figure it out, they're smart. If you have worked 1-3 years as a teacher, use only that experience for your EE profile, then put the call agent experience in your personal history after you've gotten ITA. All the best.

Good morning wonderful e-family!
Congrats to all the PPR clinchers.
I have been a silent reader and have learned so much from contributions on this thread.
Please, I would appreciate some clarifications.
I worked as an English Language teacher in a Community Junior Secondary School. Please, what is the appropriate NOC for this work experience? I previously thought it would be 4031 (Secondary School Teacher) but observed the title "Junior High School Teacher" under NOC 4032.
Please help me choose the most appropriate NOC. Thanks!

Secondly, I worked in a call center and my Employment letter states "Call Center Agent - inbound" which is under NOC C - 6552 (and not eligible for Express entry). But, I understand that it is the job duties that matter. Please, can the gurus in the house help me fit in or reword my Job duties into any related Category B NOC? They are as follows:
• Answer incoming calls
• Manage and resolve customer complaints
• Sell products and place customer orders in the computer system
• Provide product and service information to customers
• Route callers to appropriate resources
• Document all call information according to standard operating procedures
• Follow up customer calls where necessary
• Upsell products and services
• Complete call logs and reports
• Guiding new call center agents on the company’s protocols and proper use of applicable software

Thanks for your kind assistance!

Thanks @ Remicynt.
I have been there several times, met different officers and they kept saying it not ready and my assisting officer is the one to resolve it. Even met one of there superior the last time I was there and same story. I am really tired.

Remicynt:
I will advise you go there urself i.e Alausa. I won't be surprised if your file did not even get to the necessary table d officer must have abandoned it somewhere.
It happened to my husband we kept calling and calling na d same no booklets story only for him to go to the passport office where he met another officer and he was told his file was abandoned somewhere dat if he dint come in the next 3months he may not get it. The officer helped him and he got his passport on Monday could you believe that the date the passport was issued was the day my husband went there. So my dear go there and pray you meet the right person if possible a senior officer. All d best

I think those are the ways you can increase your score.
Additional certificate, French or sibling in Canada.

Look at possibilities of enrolling for bcs or a diploma course.

Can you or anyone recommend a postgraduate diploma in Nigeria that is acceptable for the express entry program?
