Not true at all. 30,000 pounds would equate to a take home of about 2000pounds monthly after tax. After all expenses for a single lady, she can comfortably save 1000 pounds monthly, which is about 450k. Remember free health care, better standard of living, access to loan facility, information, mortgages etc.
