Everything was like a dream to me. I looked from left to right and there was no one to help. It seems I have been lost, but it was the other way round. My dream was shattered in minutes. I lost hope for a better future as different thoughts ran through my mind.

It all started when I arrived my destination, my new home for a better life. I have dreamt of making it here but things look different now as I have almost exhausted my money.

I saw the lifestyle here and it was different from the one I have experienced back home. Although I was educated, I was far behind in reality. I had to adjust a little to fit into the environment when it dawned on me that I was in a different world. I walked up to the shop vendor to get a pair of slippers to replace my old and torn one. I asked "Sir, do you have slippers" He replied "Yes" pointing at the available pair and said "500". I was shocked and left in awe as my heart started beating faster than before.

I turned around and asked "Please where am I?" This was a question which deserved no answer. I never travelled out of the country or was I kidnapped? this and many other thought provoking questions kept running through my mind. I was lost in a country inside a country.

I decided to return home but it was also a different scenario as it will cost double of what it took to get here. I then asked, "Will I ever make it here?" when a strange voice interrupted; "You have every opportunity to make it here if you really want to" I turned to ask a different question, but He was already out of site.

'I don't think I can do it', I said to myself. I don't think I have a future here. I tightened my belt with my bag on my head as I embarked on a journey to home, trekked for 9days to return to my beloved country inside a country. cry cry
