After researching on pros and cons, and from personal experience.
Going for a car is super important for hustle and entrepreneurship

Avoid the trend or what friends would say (like, don't buy Matrix, it's a woman's car) and go for a fuel efficient, small car. It really helps in my productivity in hustle (there were some small deliveries runs in office that brings extra money).
In handling building project, going to site and moving small materials isn't a problem.
And like you have come to experience, my wife is not jumping 3 Keke + mini bus to keep her antenatal appointment

And the car itself, I budget 1500 fuel for it every week, any hustle that makes me drive more than I should, I make sure the hustle buys the extra fuel

Your choice makes a car either a liability or an asset

Which car is this pls?

I got mine after saving half of the money and the other half was an interest free loan from my office. I paid back within 6 months. I have since upgraded

I disagree.

A car is different things to different people. If you look at a car as a liability, a wife is also a liability, a child is a liability, our old parents are liabilities, even our friends and extended families are liabilities. Hell, even a girlfriend is a liability. Yet, we keep having them even when we cannot afford them in some cases. What is the essence of life if one cannot make himself comfortable? Why should anyone refuse to buy a car saying its a liability.

Would you rather buy a car (liability) or be constantly late to work risking your job commuting in a bus or taxi. Would you rather buy N500 fuel to go to and fro the next street 3 times or pay taxi N300 each way (N1800).

A car is an unnecessary liability only when it is unreliable. A car becomes an unnecessary liability when you have another you can use or another means of travel that is time saving, cost saving and fits exactly in your schedule.

A car is always a liability, a necessary or unnecessary liability.

If you work night shift and close by 12midnight when your safety in public transportation is not guaranteed, would you refuse buying a car for your safety because a car is a liability?

In your own case, you always had access to a car right from sec sch, op doesn't. Buying your own car is an unnecessary liability but for his case, it can be a necessary liability.

You have nailed it all, like in my case after closing from work I have to trek on a long distance before I board a car back home, not that the taxi will drop me in front of my house, I have to enter okada to my house thereby risking my life . Let say if I close by 5.pm from my office I will spend two hours or more before I reach home , exhausted and tired the next morning boarding a vehicle become a big headache not even minding the inconvenience that you have pair the car with all manner of people. To me car is big necessity
