You must have never boarded a plane yourself There is no other country in the west that the citizens complain and outright protest against discrimination and discriminatory laws than in the US. By the way, the UK is the most convenient place for a black person to exist, outside their own continent, anywhere in the world. Racism overtly expressed, certainly not in the UK, try USA with Trayvon Martin and the likes. A country that abolished Jim Crow laws as recent as in the 70s and you are talking about 'super racist.' Google it, some places in south of USA still have segregated proms in High School where black kids have their separate proms from white kids. The US population is largely ignorant of the world outside their noses and everyone is identified by colour/race first. Completely wierd for anyone coming from Western Europe.

America to many Nigerians is like Nigeria to other Africans and black people around the world after watching Davido, Wizkid and PSquare on Youtube think Nigeria is a great place to live, meanwhile it is the one of the worst in Africa, comparable with the war torn countries in the regiion, to live in as a regular person where very comfortable middle-class citizens are leaving in droves. You need a lot of money to be secure and for the law to work in Nigeria and it's similar in the US because you are likely to get caught up with a stray bullet or get robbed in many low-income neighbourhoods. The US with all its money is the third world country of the West. I understand when sufferhead nigerians who move to US see constant electricity and start talking rubbish. Nobody who is rich or comfortably middle class in Europe would want to live in the US. Nobody!

I'm sure you have no idea that prisons close in Scandinavian countries and people sleep without locking their doors and move freely everywhere and 'don't need guns to stop bad guys with guns' or that in the US, majority about 70% would have trouble paying a $400 bill emergency and many people are one ailment away from bankrupcy and poverty and homelessness. I won't bother posting links, google is your friend but stop watching music videos for information about the US. You don't see schools and cinemas being shot up by crazy people with assault rifles (home edition) or gang wars in areas in the US? Or you think because you come from Nigeria the victims could never be you or your siblings? Just look at the some of the retrogressive laws some of the states are passing into law in 2019.

There is a lot of money in the US like Nigeria in Africa but living in Botswana or even Ivory Coast is better for a regular person than living in Nigeria. Right now even Nigeria is becoming one of the worst places to live if you are not super rich. Likewise the US, the difference and advantage is that social mobility is a thing in the US. The richest people change all the time and people move up and down the economic ladder.

Get your facts right next time, and oh I have lived in some of these countries and speak from experience. If I was Ghanaian, Rwandan or South African and middle class why in the world would I want to migrate to the US of all places to get shot or for me or my children to be called niggers?

Ok good, but how many migrate legally? I get it. The US is the land of opportunities, so much money and much to do, good just like Nigeria in Africa but why are people, and I mean people earning over 500k per month, leaving with their families in droves or dem no dey see the 'opportunities'? Even my friend UgoSample wey dey live for CIV, why him no live inside Nigeria enjoy the 'opportunities' abi Dangote and Otedola no dey live there again? Some of us no gree live for Nigeria again, we no want be Dangote or Dino Melaye.

Bottomline, if money is everything to you then the US is a no-brainer but mind you money is everything usually to those who don't have it and trust the feeling is transient, because when money comes, other things become more important, like living in a serene environment where rights are upheld regardless of race and you or your siblings are less likely to encounter violence.

Yes Americans live in big houses, we in Europe live in our smaller houses but is the house fully yours? Are the big cars fully yours? Some of you hype this America like other people have not visited. Maybe to someone straight from Nigeria it will be heaven but for those of us living in other great Western nations, I tell you America overhyped!.the infrastructure I saw in Dubai is even far better.
Granted Americans have more cash after tax but we pay more tax that's why it seems your American aunty has more money to dash than your aunty living in the UK.
I was on a trip, we had a stop in a bus and in came a man with a lot of stench, his legs were very swollen and this looked like a sickness were he had no money to treat. There are countries like Canada Germany the UK and others were you have access to free healthcare. Americans are sick and open go fund me! Who does that in Europe? There were alot of other things I saw. Then I came to the conclusion: the only nation on earth without any problems, no racism, no poverty is Heaven. Every nation of the world has problems. Don't let statistics fool you.

Most of us live in places that don’t have any of the issues you listed. In Nigeria the issues are unavoidable; you can’t escape them.

That’s why this forum is filled with threads on how to escape that place world leaders called a shithole and cemetery. You won’t find one website filled with Americans trying to lie, scam or get to Nigeria.

Loooooool this is so funny. Especially coming from someone who went to visit and never returned. Atleast I went on vacation travelled through some cities in 4 states and returned in two weeks as stated on my visa application before my visa was issued. I never ever discouraged anyone from traveling because I travel too, however that America I saw myself is far overrated whether you admit it or not. You open a thread discouraging people from coming to stay with the same visit visa you travelled with and stayed back ILLEGALLY. Such hypocrisy! I am not rich but I thank God for the grace to work, save, qualify for visas and I can comfortably choose to afford a vacation, buy my flight ticket, afford to shop wherever I want and afford to return. You said I went to a slum to eat. Good you admit that there are indeed slums in almighty America.

See eh, I live in the Netherlands. I am so comfortable here that moving to the USA will reduce my quality of life. America has no public healthcare system, and healthcare is the number one reason for bankruptcy in the US, meanwhile here, even if my medical bills cost 100 million dollars, I won't pay a dime. It is completely free. Education is almost free, and as NL is a country of the EU, its citizens are entitled to live anywhere and access quality services like citizens there. Education in the Nordics are completely free, and I will take a course in maybe Sweden or Finland next year, and it will be completely free for me. An American ex that came to my uni for exchange could not believe that it was free for us to study, and she has close to 150k usd in student loan. Imagine starting life as a young adult with that amount owed to a bank, and it grows with interest. Just in case you do not know, student debt is a common cause of suicide in the US among young people.

The US is not safe, with the gun problems, I can't imagine raising a kid there. How about the foods? do I need to remind that the US is the most obese country in the world? Americans are fat because the food there is horrible. GMO in foods without the label. Over here, every foods has a label if its GMO or organic, so I know what I am eating. And I do not like that government spend money bombing other countries, policing the world and destabilizing smaller countries. Also, mobility in EU is so efficient. Go to ryanair.com, wizzair.com, or easyjet.com, you will see cheap flight for as little as 5euros to let's say the UK from Germany. Travelling is cheap, efficient and awesome. It is difficult for me not to travel at least once a month to a different country. In the winter if I need sun, the Spanish island in Africa, or Malta, or somewhere in Italy will do. Like snow? go to Scandinavia, the EU is like a giant, multicultural country, and I love it.

The US taxes its citizens on income they earn abroad. SO if you are an American working in the UK, you pay tax from your salary in the UK to the US. I am trying not to write a long sentence here, but if you wanna know exactly how I feel like a European to move to the US, read this thread on Quora, with European telling you why the US is a bad deal for to move to. I tell you in all honesty, I won't if you gave me an American passport. I can visit, but will never live there.
