Catholic Bishop of Umuahia/Apostolic Administrator of Ahiara Diocese, Imo State, prays for Gov. Ugwuanyi

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, his counterpart from Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, on Thursday, amid jubilation from the crowd, joined their former colleague in the Federal House of Respresentatives and Governor of Imo State, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha in celebrating this year's "Iri Ji Mbaise Festival", as the Bishop of Umuahia and Apostolic Administrator of Ahiara Doicese, His Lordship, Most Rev. Dr. Lucius Ugorji, at the Thanksgiving Mass to mark the annual festival, offered special prayers for Gov. Ugwuanyi and continued peace and good governance in Enugu State, asking God to grant the governor more grace to fully actualise his heart desires for the good people of the state.

People who don't understand governance expected him to make some high sounding and loud projects take off which will be applauded and seen as working without a proper analysis of its feasibility or affordability. That was what put imo state in such debt under Rochas. In the course of his frenzy as governor, he announced some projects and schemes that got the people applauding, only to settle in later to see that it wasn't realizable. E.g. free education for IMO people in the state university. He ended up barring IMO people from gaining admission to save himself, increased the acceptance fee to over 100k so that thru acceptance fee, you have paid your school fees, tripled the school fees of non indigenes to carry his ill advised decision etc.
Do you know the number of projects that were commenced in IMO but were abandoned mid way because he awarded it in the frenzy of the moment without thinking through. And billions lost. Now we have a govt that wants to ensure that professionals are consulted on any course of action before implementation for best option and result and you're upset
