Mynd44:It's contestable. Don't mistake the bordering communities of Nsukka part of Enugu State or riverine communities of Anambra, as Igbos in Kogi State, rather they are the Igala part of Enugu and Anambra States. Curious to know, have you found indigenous Igbos from Kogi State? |

realoscar84:You are rather the one who should stop speaking out of ignorance. Ebira is not even a language in the first instance but a dialect of the Oshuku Language. What is spoken by Igarra people is Etuno and not Ebira. Stop misinforming people. Leave Igarra people alone and face your Kogi State. You Ebiras must learn to stop this your tendency of trying to supplant the Oshuku generic name with Ebira. Igarra people are not a subset of Ebiras, rather they are as independent to themselves as Ebiras are to themselves too. In Cross River State there is an Oshuku speaking tribe there as well and they are not called Ebiras. All this offensive attempts to reclassify Etunos as Ebiras is a recent politically motivated fraudulent development. Please stop it. |

I would advise you visit those places to verify the claim before discussing further on them on public forum like Nairaland. |

For any intelligent Leader, Nigeria has 36 Tribal States and one Liaison Composition now. Capitalise on these 37 Divisions by granting full autonomy of Police, Resources and Elections Control to the 36 States and making the 37th Division a veritable Liaison Arrangement. |

My mom Uneme (Akoko edo, Edo). My dad Ukwuani (Delta). I hope the attache by force people from across the Niger can see that Ukwuani is a separate ethnic group of its own. Also, the idiots from Ondo state who think Akoko Edo (a misnomer) is a subset of Yoruba can see for themselves. Akoko Edo has over 12 tribes, none of which is Yoruba. They are on the border with Ondo State, hence the Yoruba names some of them answer atimes. |

There are nations and/or ethnic groups in Nigeria, which are made up of various sub-groups. There are no tribes in Nigeria. The 12 tribes of Israel are descendants of one man, Jacob.
