ones saved forever saveed is the summary of your talk, i totally disagree with that sir, salvation is a platform but there are prices to be paid which is abstainin from sin an love which is de greatest of all commandments, any Christian dat does not work in de way of de Lord and die without repentance is out of the way. as much as i don't believe in the visions of all those saying they visit hell, God's standard does not change. Long natural hair can't take you to hell, wedding rings also etc. more so by biblical standard no one in the era of Christ has gone to Hellor in hell! Cos if they do then there will be no rapture, as rapture ain't meant only for the living but the dead also (scripture say so)

In as much I agree with the solid points you made, there is still a possibility of a Christian going to hell.

Hv u consider if a believer sin and still continue in it, do you think he or she will go to heaven? Thinking he has already be save by grace?
There are other scripture in the Bible which pointed the seriousness of remaining in christ, believers are already save what matters now is at the point of death, if he sin before dieing or not.
Somewhere in chorithian Paul gave an example, he said he try as much as possible to save others to the kingdom, and will try not to be cast away while doing that. I.e regetted at the end after save others.

jiggaz, your teachings on eternal destiny of believers is wrong. Some will go to hell and some will go to heaven. Otherwise, you are saying that God has no standard of judgment.

Remember not all the Jews that left Egypt made it to the promised land. And Apostle Paul used them as examples of those that will live ungodly.

If all what you say is true, I guess this account for the reason many Christians commit unspeakable acts of debauchery without even feeling remorseful.

They cheat, lie, steal, fornicate, commit adultery, owe workers salary, kidnap, rape, maim, murder etc.

And you say after they do all this, just because they believe in Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, they'll go to Heaven?

The curious case of Simon the Sorcerer;

Acts 8 v 9-24;

9 But there was a certain man, called Simon, which before time in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:
10 To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.
11 And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.
12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.
14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,
19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.
20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.
22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.

24 Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.

joseph1832, I hope this answers your question as well.

See the case of a sorcerer who believed in Jesus and was baptized. But thought he could purchase the power of the Holy Spirit with money.

Also see how he was rebuked by Peter and admonished to REPENT. Peter also clearly mentioned that Simon's heart was not right with God. This is despite the fact that Simon believed and was baptized earlier (in verse 13).

The sad part is, thinking belief alone is sufficient without repentance from a sinful lifestyle is nothing but hypocrisy.

Yes, at the initial stage, baby believers will still stumble, make errors and mistakes (not wilful sin nor iniquity), struggle with old habits. But as they grow in the TRUTH and have an unwavering focus on the teachings of Jesus and the instructions of the Holy Spirit, you'll see that old lifestyle falling away like scales and replaced by a new productive lifestyle. This is the growth and maturity expected of everyone who sincerely wants to walk in the TRUTH.

Seeing Visions Of Believers In Hell: What You Should Know About Dreams & Visions of Heaven & Hell

A Bible Study by Prince Gabriel Okocha

What does the Bible has to say about seeing believers in Hell or missing the rapture in dreams and visions? Are such dreams and visions messages or warnings from God to help us straighten our paths in order to “make” heaven?
Over and over again, we have seen and heard people claim to have received a special vision from God in which they saw a fellow believer in Christ, sometimes a very faithful one, end up in Hell for any reason at all.

For instance in 2012, a lady came out to say she saw Archbishop Benson Idahosa in hell and it was materialism that “took” him there. The same lady claimed in her visions she saw other believers either in or on their way to hell because they wore make-ups, weavons, trousers (for ladies), rings and other jewelries (including wedding rings), kept long hairs and long nails.

Every now and then, people (especially those who claim to have died and came back to life) always come up with visions of a Hellfire crowded with believers or an almost empty heaven (with very few Christians).
What should be a Christian’s disposition in the midst of all these? How should a Christian treat such visions of believers in hell?
First, you need to understand what the Bible has to say about believers being condemned to hell.

Joh 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
1Jn 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

John 5:24 and 1 John 3:14 is very very clear on the fact that the believer in Jesus has passed from death to life. The word translated as “death” in those verses is the greek word “thanatou”
“Thanatou” is not only used to imply physical death, it is also used to imply “eternal separation from God and utter destruction” which we call “second death or “hell.”
Now read those verses again and notice how John puts the probability of a believer experiencing such to be in the past when he has not yet believed or received salvation. He said the believer SHALL NOT come into condemnation anymore. Why? Because the issue of his eternal destination has been settled once and for all. He HAS PASSED from death(hell) to Life.

In other words, the one who has believed in Jesus’ sacrifice for himself has no chance of ending up in Hell. He has long passed that level or stage. He is in a place now where Hell can never ever have a hold on him.html?m=1

All u just posted are crap.
Accepting Jesus is not all that u need to go to heaven.
U have to work for your salvation.
U can't be claiming grace of God & be lying, stealing, cheating, fornicating and think grace will cover you.
U must repent wherever u have come short of the glory of God.
This type of teaching is common with these new age pastors who don't want to lose members.

Also, make up, wig/weavon, women wearing trousers are all sin. Some say there is women trouser. So what was the bible referring to wen it said women shouldn't wear men's clothing.
Read your bible, don't be decieved

No time to sugar coat, even as a believer one can go to hell...

1 Cor 6:9... If you are a believer and still do all those things, do you think God will change his word??

All we pray for is God's grace and mercy... Because even your self righteous filthy rags ness grin, can't save us... Only God's grace

your assertion is very wrong sir, I disagree to agree. You are actually lending credence to the once saved forever saved maxim. Don't be deceived, the Bible made it clear salvation needs to be sustained and that's why it says since the days of John the Baptist the kingdom of God suffereth violence and the violent taketh it by force this therefore imply you have a duty to live a continuous holy life to have any chance of making heaven and that takes a lot of grace and that is why you'll find a those who are first (someone you know as a believer) coming last (not making heaven) and supposed sinners making it at last. it's all about what your last act is before you close your eyes in death.

Jeromejnr:
4.Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. 5Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. 6But you have this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

7Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

Revelation 3:5
'He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; and I will not erase his name from the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels

There is still overcoming for the saints to do. No go dull yourself say because you just prayed a prayer of salvation one time so you will just enter heaven no matter how much you like to sin.

You are to show gratitude for your salvation (a gift) by working it out with fear and trembling. If you despise the gift, you will eventually be rejected on the last day.
Sure Word. People are looking for Gospel made easy.

The truth is that A saved person cannot continue in Sin!...Don't get me wrong, I am not saying once you are saved you can't fall into sin but once saved, you can't enjoy sin because it is no more your nature, a saved person has a mind/nature of Christ. Though the flesh can cause such person to make mistakes but a saved person who understands the love of God knows that even if he falls, he will always rise for the blood of Jesus has paid for such sin.

In Summary, anyone who claimed to be saved and continue in sin....a perpetual sinner needs to re-evaluate his/her life, it may be self deceit!

He is not wrong, neither are you!....What you said is not far from the truth but let me ask you;

1. Are you saved?
2. If yes, haven't you transgressed since you were saved? I mean, no sin, you have been 100% blameless and sinless?

I can bet the answer to number 2 in No! If yes, then you have become God!...lol.

The issues that call for deep understanding here, the puzzles and matters that I think are not really clear to most 'CHURCH GOERS' are as follows;

1. Who is a christian? Or better put, what does it mean to be a christian?
2. Are the so called Saved Christians really saved?
3. Did they get saved through a personal encounter with Jesus or because of an event, circumstances or tradition?

If God loved us while we were still sinners, in fact while we were yet to exist, so much that He gave himself so that we might be saved, then after we have been saved, do you think it is Logical for that same God to allow us to be plucked away by the devil without protecting us?

The problem is that majority of us in the christendom are only religious! A saved Christian is the man who was dead to flesh and took up the nature of Christ! - A nature that cannot live in Sin. That is why 1st John 2 I think verse too says if anyone (mistakenly) sins, then we have an advocate in Jesus.....

A saved person can't enjoy sin and continually live in sin, that is why once saved, you will remain saved. The problem is, are you really saved in the first place?

In addition, just as you mentioned in your assertion (the bolded part below), that we are saved by Grace, why do you now make it look like Jesus was telling us to fight or struggle to make heaven by our efforts?....Actually, I don't wan't to go into that because that is another issue with us christians, we don't understand the scriptures? We interpret a sacred, spiritual book literally - with our minds rather than allow the holy spirit interpret for us and that is among the reasons why we always argue on stuffs like this!

Act 2:38 KJV] 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Repentance is very little in evidence in the world. Sinners don't want to repent. Church people don't want to repent. This is very important because there are consequences if there is no repentance in a person, a people group, or a nation. Jesus declared in the Gospel of Luke:

[Luk 13:3 KJV] 3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Remembere, Hell fire is real
Heaven is real

Dem no dey see Abacha,, dem no see idi amin, na faithful Christians that served with all their hearts and lives with only a few flaws here and there which grace and mercy should have spoken for anyway.

God looks like a villain, the Word is projected as haphazard, unreliable and not there inerrant final authority, the whole Christian Pilgrim journey a painful gamble bound to end in losses.

Faiths get weakened, folks move by fear for a while and slack off, legalism tales over, religious creeds, dogmas and servility emerges dominant over revelational living, spiritual growth and true worship and pursuit of the life of God.

Who gains; the other side!

Well done Christians, well done!!

if this is so then people who say they saw or had visions of pastors in Hell are very correct, according to what you posted if they did not repent and flee from their sins they will be condemned.

So in essence believing in Jesus' sacrifice on the cross isn't enough.

I agree with u on this. only lips believing will not save u. remember even the demons believe God and Jesus Christ.. except u truly believe in ur heart all about Jesus christ and in him (ie do what Jesus Christ as u to do in faith, love and with a willing heart. that is what is believing and also acknowledge him as the son of God, ur lord and savior) anything apart from this is not true believing. u cant make Heaven if u do not truly believe

That's why God is smarter than you. You want it to be hard because you feel that's how it suppose to be. Salvation is not just about you humans, it's a way the Almighty uses to conquer devil!

I looked at your good deeds, it wasn't enough so I sent my only begotten son to sacrifice just so you can have that everlasting life which your good deed as a human couldn't atone for, all I ask is for you to believe in him and be saved!

You can't have Jesus and still believe you will go to hell! Unless you never genuinely believed.

No matter how much you claim to be a repentant and never to sin, my brother you go still sin in one way or the other! That's why you good and holy life which you claim to live ain't enough to God.

God's plan is the best I've ever seen through Christ Jesus! He outsmarted the devil whom is still struggling telling people Jesus is not all you need, my brother as a Christian and believers we aught to live a good and responsible life so our environment won't be in chaos and in anarchy.

Add anything to the finish work of Jesus, and God will show you this message on your way to hell!

Jesus! I repeat, Jesus is the only way to heaven! Not your good deeds, no, never!

Anyone who claims to believe in Jesus but still lives a sinful lifestyle is a hypocrite. Simple and short.

Repentance is non-negotiable, and it is the Holy Spirit that empowers one to turn away from a sinful lifestyle.

Any doctrine that is not focused on spiritual growth of believers, any doctrine that gives a foothold for tolerating a sinful lifestyle rather than overcoming it is nothing but deceit.

There are people who will call Jesus their Lord, but He would deny them and label them workers of iniquity.

Mind you, iniquity is an advanced state of sin where the perpetrator has justified and rationalized his/her acts of disobedience such that he/she sees nothing wrong in what they do.

Believing in Jesus is enough to get one grafted into the vine. But the question now is, if such a person does not bear fruits...such a barren person would be cut off and casted into the fire.

The ability to be fruitful in the vine comes by constantly obeying the Holy Spirit.

Unfortunately, we have people who call Jesus their Lord, yet they disobey His commands and are deaf to the Holy Spirit.

What becomes the fate of such a barren "believer"? They'll be cut-off eventually.

Yes, we are saved by grace. God is a merciful God and also a judge of human beings. The fact that we are saved through grace does not mean that we will escape hell when death meets us in sin. Remember Jesus' statement that he will tell some people that he doesn't know them even when they profess to perform miracles in his name.
