Watched a quiz contest on the Big Brother Naija Show yesterday. It was sponsored by Dano Milk.

Some of the housemates could not give the full meanings of NAFDAC and SON.

Some did not know the name of the state that hosts the popular Argungu Fishing Festival.

Some could not remember the name of the first Nigerian woman to drive a car.

Some of them did not know that the country's parliament is called National Assembly neither did they know that the richest man in Africa comes from Kano State.

Was appalled to find out that some of them could not give the three main classes of food. Elementary Science that I was taught in Primary 4 Baptist Day Primary School, Igbotako.

One even said Wole Soyinka was the author of the 'The Thing Around Your Neck'.. I almost shouted at my TV screen.

The two loud mouths in the house, Omatshola(always shouting Warri up and down) and Tacha(PortHarcourt First Daughter) could not answer a jack of all the questions asked.

Only Joe and Dianne were outstanding.

Generally, the performance of the housemates in the quiz competition was below par. Most of the housemates are below 30.

I may be wrong but it's my general observation that a lot of Nigerian youths- especially the millenials- don't care about general knowledge of the country and its history-
