Sell it. Buy a w202 c180 Benz.
A car is giving him problem and you ask him to sell it, what happens to yye car when it gets to a new buyer? Will the car issues be solved when he sell it? So a new buyer should inherit the problem.

That's the mentality some persons have.

They pass on a 'lemon' to a naive buyer, without full disclosure.....

Be sensible. I'd buy a Mercedes Benz with critical wiring problems... Which someone like kingreign or heavenlybang will flee from at the right price and with the right conditions. Where did you read sell disguising the issues?

You are the one that need to be sensible. Something is giving the user a problem, and you advise him to sell it off. It the issue is manageable, why not tell him to repair the car.

Like I said be sensible. Sell any car giving you endless issues with full information. The buyer maybe better at fixing it. Then buy another that you have access to necessary expertise to fix. Be sensible and quit quoting me to gain relevance.

On a thread where integrity of a seller/dealer/carsbazr is being questioned, another seller is requesting for a solution to his problem ridden car and the only thing he could say is 'sell it'.
I find that ridiculous, where is his integrity.

not the same thing as asking him to sell with hidden info. I had a peugeot 206 once, when it's issues started I had to sell it to another person from Abuja, who probably is still enjoying the ride till now.

I understand perfectly clear. The thread is already putting a stain on car dealers.

I do apologise for that, the person you advised may take the advise without thinking of his actions, some go as far as taking loan or saving for 2/3years just to buy a car. Imagine now buying a problem car.

I was wrong, shouldn't have reacted that way

I sold a car through them. Sale done within 24 hours (inspection and test driving inclusive). Price was ridiculous but I didn't have time to undergo stress of finding buyer myself.

I will still use them.

Did you really read up the content of this thread from page 1?

From your personal experience, you were desperate to dispose your car. Could be that the car was problematic or you were in dire need for money (I doubt that you will sell a good car at such a ridiculous amount as described by you).

Carsbazr/Cars45 will rip you off when selling a 'good' car to them. Carsbazr/Cars45 will rip you 'even more' when buying a car from them.

Let's tell it as it is!

I did not bother quoting the OP because this post was made a long time ago.

As with everything in Nigeria and perhaps the world over, the 2nd hand market is a tricky market.

You go there with your eyes and guts.

CarsBazr does not own such a large consignment of cars all in one place. In this day and age of P2P and platform sharing model of business, the CarsBazr model is not exactly a new one. CarsBazr creates the platform, does the marketing and dealers leverage on the platform.

Not all car lots will belong to CarsBazr. Infact CarsBazr is a franchise. The dealer operating under the franchise is responsible for his lot and what goes on there. CarsBAzr has no direct input into how affairs are run.

What that simply means is that it is up to you to determine what lots you deal with and what lots you avoid. And good enough you are able to see the telltale sign.

If I cannot test drive a used car, it only means one thing. The dealer is not ready for business. Simply take your money and find the next lot. Its that easy. Buying used cars in Nigeria has never being a straightforward business. It has always being cat and mouse.

So please, when you go toks or tuketuke shopping, go with your eyes and your own expertise. Ignore those bandara boys (abi wetin dem dey call dem for ladipo)

A car dealer not allowing a prospective buyer to test drive, simply because seasoned engineers have already conducted their own checks...... Never heard this line used before.......

Tokunbo buyers not able to test drive vs local seller refusing test drives..... Which is a worst position?

If one is buying a used car, it is expected the new buyer might want to replace a part or two, the previous owner did not deem necessary or important.....

The term ' nothing to fix' is completely wrong.... But refusing a test drive or not been honest with overall condition, is equally wrong..... We should have some form of consumer protection body and properly enforced legislation.... But it's Nigeria, anything goes.....

' Ac working, but needs only gas'............ angry cheesy grin cheesy wink

Lol.

There is a consumer protection council, not everyone is aware of it. The council too has failed to create awareness of its services.

Falling into the hands of dubious and greedy characters in the name of dealers or merchants who would do anything but tell you the truth to get a penny off you happens in all establishments... Even owode market or the almighty ladipo market, these same things happen. year

Your argument and defence are flawed.

Scam is everywhere, so OP should just sulk it in and move on. He fell into wrong hands in the same establishment you work in. He should rather contact you, because you are less dubious.

As much as I want to believe that this thread is old, I believe my opinion is enough to save someone's ass from falling into the so call Cars45 trap. I was actually in need of extra cash last year in Abuja, so I decided to sell my newly acquired Jaguar x-type 2006. Before doing so, I have a machine myself x-launch, I checked and kept the record for my own reasons before going to their center for the car check-up.

To my surprise, the car was ridiculed and priced at what can make you cry as an owner, A car I got from Canada with port clearance at almost N2million was priced for N300k.

I was so shocked that I had to show them my own report and other documents that I have with me.

An inside friend I made there made me know that Cars45 is for oppressed people who don't know where to go for funds for immediate need and that their business model backs them up doing the same. For instance, they buy a car at a very relatively low price (Camry muscle ( Grade C for 800k and sell it for 1.1million or more). A typical guy man will think he has a fair deal but the seller had the loss and cars45 made a fortune.

I wholeheartedly won't advise anyone to make use of their service, Save up and buy a good car. I believe once they have competition, maybe they will buckle up. Please be wise.
