I'm surprised that this useless type of people will find it difficult to pay 30k minimum wage for all levels, when they know it's not even enough and they don't depends on it despite their huge allowances. May God expose you all and punish you heavily. |

My question is simple. Why has the so called anti corruption crusade not dissuaded incidents like these at the very highest levels of government. Why are we still hearing sad tales like these regularly. Can anyone answer and perhaps help this government.... |

Mujtahida:When you get there you choose the path of hardest resistance you hear and shallow minded people who are easily fooled have been taken in by this fight that can never end nor even reduce corruption because corruption is a hydra headed snake and all buhari is doing is to cut off heads of corruption here and there yet in place of every head he cuts, a million sprouts again.Thought you said it wasn't necessary How will you move forward with million heads of coorruption Nigeria is corrupt to the bones, 99% of Nigerians are corrupt and the remaining 1% who are supposedly not corrupt already carry the virus inside them. Please speak for urself and ur family members Rich Nigerians steal to perpetuate their wealth, poor Nigerians steal to escape their poverty.Ojoro cancel CD Even the people fighting corruption are corrupt! To fight corruption in such a society, is to fight a battle that can never be won.yet other countries are winning Yet I do not blame Nigerians. Because weIt's govt that forced you bout to farm ko Not to build factories ba? Not to build empty houses and throw lavish parties? I see have been forced to live at the level of survival. And to live from that level is a dog eat dog World, it's a world where there are no rules, the only thing that matters is survival. Corruption thrives in such an atmosphere. So no corruption in America or Saudi or Dubai or South Korea or malaysis Keep deceiving yourself In a country where government has abysmally abdicated its responsibility what do you expect? You the voters did you dicate to your own responsibilities Over half don't vote Especially the elite and educated Yet somehow you expect illiterates to make wise choices Educated illiterates No electricity, no good roads, we provide water ourselves, we share the burden of providing energy by buying generators and fueling it, we are 100% responsible for the education of our children, 100% responsible for our medical and health care needs. NI'd you can do all this why are you still waiting for govt? o succour anywhere and yet you think that the salary of the regular civil servant will suffice to take care of his needs? No naa. Let's be realistic. The same condition affects those in the private sector.Excuses Why did you take the job is the salary not enough Shows your brain isn't working properly and why you're poor Buhari has chosen to ignore the drivers ofYou that like hardwork Who is holding you? corruption because that requires hardwork. The only lasting anti dote to corruption is to lift the people beyond mere survival, boost the economy, offer deep succour to the people, engineer economic revival in such a way that no government official need reel out statistics because it would be evident to everyone.Continue waiting for messiah you hia No fix your problems u hia Continue waiting to be spoon fed And yes this is possible but it requires hardwork, resilience, radical vision, creativity and wisdom.Pot calling kettle black What stops you from doing the above since its so simple on social media A father who does not provide for his children has already given them rich excuses to steal and engage in thievery.Your father don't owe you shit bruh You steal and you will explain to God why It is when a father has ensured that he has adequately provided for his children that he can now discipline them in the most strictest sense if they engage in thievery.Go and steal them let's see whether the mob cares abort your father Kerosene and cement fall in any thief that gets caught Buhari raise your people up from impoverishment, provide schools and fund education, solve the problem of energy supply, provide good heath care, let there be food security. What stop the police doing all this We have self made rich men from all tribes Private schools that do better than the public(give only sports 2%anyway) Private health better than public Nobody stopping you from farming Or securing yourself(use not govt job to protect you, that's just political propaganda to keep you in check) After these things have been done then you can justifiably fight corruption. Until these have been tackled, you are just chasing after the wind.Farmers wen de wait for rain no de plant anything This corruption thing is so deep, people do not even realise that it has become instinctive in us, it has become wired into the collective unconscious of the people. Fighting it the way Buhari has chosen to do, making it the cardinal policy drive of his government shows a man who lacks critical thinking. You've been causing corruption throughout ur write up yet the man trying to fight it is not critical thinking, hmmmm. The fight surely gets him plaudits, crooks, thieves and fraudsters here and there are caught and punished but believe me corruption is alive and thriving. Buhari will do his term and go, corruption will outlive him cos he has not poisoned the heart of the hydra, he's merely cutting the heads and preening himself from the loud approval of foolish, unthinking dolts who have no understanding of the depths of corruption we have sank into as a people and the fact that the creative option is the way to go about nailing corruption and not this negative fight that will produce no lasting effect.Last time we checked pity was a democracy Game of numbers BTW you that is a thinking man What is your contribution to the nation [quote] |

So many people has written the same "Dogo turenci". Though, I quite agree with you in some instances on what to do but you miss the road by blaming Buhari. The money recovered by this administration is highest since the inception of the EFCC but is it up to 10% of total money stolen to-date? The answer is 'NO' which means Buhari is only playing his part! I always wonder why nobody is talking about the governors who are the Nigeria 90% problem likewise the local government! You made mention of "hardwork, resilience, vision, ...... bla bla" and you think these Governors, Senathieves, Dishonorables will flow with all that? Not to talk of thieves like Abdulsalam, Atiku, Obasanjo, Danjuma other third force parading themselves as masses' saviour exploiting religion and tribal differences Till tomorrow, Nigerians are the Nigeria problems until we realise change begin with you! |

Kemi Adeosun suspended the DG of SEC (Gwarzo) and she was forced to resign. Ibe Kachikwu made noise about Maikanti Baru and not being allowed to see the President. They tolerated him until his term expired. If he had corruption baggage, they'd have removed him as well. Now Winifred Oyo-Ita had a public spat with Abba Kyari over the reinstatement of Abdulrasheed Maina. We think say that one don finish; suddenly, they have opened her corruption file. This same Abba Kyari issued a query to Tunde Fowler. Whether we admit it or not, Abba Kyari is one of the biggest problems in Buhari's government. And until Buhari gets rid of him, most of the problems in Aso Rock would continue to be coordinated by him. As for those southerners occupying top government positions, be careful around these men. |

Mujtahida:My colleague and I caused a ruckus at work because of this argument. He is like you, he thinks fighting corruption is a waste of time, basic amenities needs to be provided, the economy needs to be improved, standard of living as well. But I don't know how you think the president can single handedly achieve all these with everyone in sensitive areas diverting the funds. It's not like Buhari will be going from one contractor to the next and be dishing out cash to them. It's not like Buhari is the same Law enforcement officers to investigate, arrest and prosecute those who keep robbing us blind. The way I see it, until we have zero tolerance for corruption, nothing changes. Yes it's the hydra thingy you mentioned, it's not going to be quick and easy but we can't ignore the power of the degree of massive corruption we have in this country. I can only wish us well and hope Nigerians get in line, it's a fight that requires all of us to be in it. |

stonemasonn:Wrong. The corrupt ones are those who put their children in schools abroad and have to steal to keep up with the fees, or live in houses they cannot afford because they need to show class. There are good public servants out there who can show record of every dime they have without sweat. |

Meritocracy:With the current rate of infaltion, minimum wagers are likely to engage in crimes. An ideal minimum wage should be nothing leas than 120k; considering housing, feeding, transport and other necessaries. The gap is too oooo wide. There is a problem the government has refused to address. Yet they keep paying crazy allowances to the officials of our arms of government. Government should not take so much precedence from the generality of the people. |

arrestdarrester:Not necessarily true. These women do exactly as the men, maybe not even as much. The problem is how annoyed the menfolk are like how can a 'woman' an ordinary woman be taking them for a ride? Take it as you see fit but it's always a sexist thing. |

As a senior civil servant and the head of the civil servants, she's meant to be a role model for others to follow, but see what she has done, just because of greed like as if her salaries is not much. |

Mr. Ekpo Nta, Justice Walter Onnoghen, Chief Okoi Obono-Obla, and now madam Winifred Oyo Ita. These are worthy Cross Riverians whose faces, we know, have not been loved by the powers that be at the center. They were not on the table, hence inadvertently found themselves on the menu. Having in mind that one can't dip his/her finger in the anus and not expect a stench, we know that the greater sins of these ones have been not being northerners. |
