Kano State Government says it is planing to convert five forests to grazing reserves for herdsmen in the state. Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State announced this on Tuesday while speaking with journalists in Abuja. Ganduje said that his administration had inaugurated a technical committee on farm settlements for herdsmen in the state. He said further that the proposed settlement would assist in boosting socio-economic ventures in the state. “We will provide social amenities such as hospital, veterinary clinic, market, security post and schools, so that herdsmen will enjoy facilities just like other Nigerians,” Ganduje said. According to him, herders settlement should not be a national issue, it should be state issue because they live and flourish in every state. edunwablog:Nigerians personal business was NEVER a State or Federal Government business Every Nigerian is hustling and struggling to put food on their table, they shouldn't be an exception!!! If they are Nigerians, why shouldn't they also "enjoy" as other Nigerians do  The government can build a ranch, employ people, it shouldn't be about a particular tribe!!! This government is all about DIVISION!!! Its becoming clearer why this man despite being caught in several videos collecting bribes was elevated to the level of a statesman by this "anti corruption" govt (sic). He must have made this pledge back then as a compromise. Same way I was convinced that BAT must have consented under duress ("support me or I open ur book of corruption ") to support this govt that rubbished him mercilessly in their 1st tenure. So much for WAR AGAINST CORRUPTION. Anyways, its still good that they site it in their domain. |

Nice one, finally someone is proffering solutions., not when someone is driving he would be thinking of other cars and cows too, they should take to their forest and do whatever they want there not taking cows to an urban setting , what sort of backwardness is that ? The US and Britain are trying to cut down beef consumption because of climate and these ones want their cows to have same right as human in the city Nonsense and beef |
