Any advice on the 06/07 Accord EX-L trim

Pros vs Cons

Focus is on reliability for me.

What to watch out for? Gear and engine replacement costs. Any known issues to watch out for with these particular model year

Maintenance advice if bought...

Thanks.
Gear 120k, engine is 200k plus for the 2.4L 4 cylinder engine. Regular fault are engine seatings and window control unit just change when faulty.

Note of warning use the recommended fluid for both the gear and power steering, power steering especially is unforgiven on wrong fluid usage.

For the V6 I don't know much but I guess it's just to take care of it as any regular vehicle.

uneven noise coming from wheels should be attended to immediately to avoid collapse of the wheels popularly called shoki Honda gbe body dance grin

As at 2016 to 2017 this same Engine was 180k. Different people quote different prices the only way to confirm is to ask someone that is there ask luvinghubby for a workable price.

if you check jiji and ladipong the price is 100 to 120k.

modified: just called my mechanic, okay so my accord (06) was bought brand new in Nigeria so the Engine in it is different from the US imported 06/07 so the 03 to 05 is the 150k own the 06 to 07 is 200k plus also my accord is drive by cable instead of the US drive by wire

Good day house. Pls I need a suggestion on which car(tokunbo) to buy. My budget is between 1.5-2.2M. A lot of people said I should get a Toyota corola because of its fuel efficiency and cheap parts. I am a marketer, so alot of times d car will be carrying load up and down...I will be plying a lot of bad roads too.
......considering all ds factors, which model of car fits my need? I don't want sienna
Follow nurey's advice.

Yes the 03 to 05 had drive by cable from tokunbo I was opportuned to see their bonnet, my 06 is exactly identical to them. Anyway the k24 Engines are like 5 identical with different applications early accords are a bit safe it's the recent accords that gbege fit happen if you buy a lower base k24

Depends on what kind of load you are hauling, a pharmacy marketer can use a small sedan after all drugs aren't that heavy compared to an electronic marketer say someone selling microwaves or any heavy load.

depending on how bad the road you intend to ply are, I did say

1. Corolla/avensis verso variant (wagon) for space, if the roads expected have off-road tendencies then

2. RAV4 or Lexus RX300 can be of equal advantage to you
Pls whats the difference in terms of the cost of maintenance/parts for the regular corolla/avensis and the verso

They use identical engine, suspension parts and some body panel parts. You should only be worried about lamps both front and rear. You can just go for the regular Estate or wagon though they may be rare to find.

The verso are 7seater that were used to replace sienna and previa in some continents to avoid government tax on bigger MPVs.

Thanks much for the reply. I so much appreciate it.

I like Toyota Corolla too, but good toks seems to be on the high side compare to my quoted budget.

Someone said I can get good Corolla 2010 for 1.75M direct from USA, that it's better than the common Corolla 2003 - 2007 but I wasn't convince enough.
I will rather listen and align with your counsel.

what do you think and can recommend as per Corolla?

with your budget only the 1.4L European Corolla fits into your budget as tokunbo, though most are converted to LHD may be you can do a sedan 4 door Yaris then if it ain't too small.

there are other reliable cars it's not tantamount you buy a Toyota product.

08 to 12 Corolla tokunbo starts around 2.2 or 2.5m maybe the price you were given is minus custom duty.

Please advise, between 04/05 accord and 03-05 Camry, which one should I go for, first time car buyer. I love the accord, but thinking if the Camry may be easier to maintain and less prone to faults?

Hello cargurus, what is your view on the 2017 honda accord on its reliability. I prefer it to the camry but i am wary about the cvt transmission. Your analysis will be highly appreciated

Honda had previously used CVT in the CITY and FIT before the Accord was conceptualized I don't see why you will be panicking because of CVT.

You can as well by the V6 since majority were fitted with 6speed automatic transmission.
