Folks, done messing around with TundeOlodoBricklayer, Obiano and Igbo folks anti-SW obduracy in general. Let us do real statistics. Below is the the top investment destination in Nigeria in the first half of 2018. Lagos takes 26%, equating $11.9 billion, with Anambra and all other States attracting only $2.7 billion or 6% of the investment coming into Nigeria so we must ask what grade of crack Obiano and TundeBricklayer are on to even be comparing Anambra with Lagos?

Mind you even the 36% of Rivers and 26% of Bayelsa stems from the fact that mining and quarrying, not an endowment of Lagos as is the case with Rivers and Bayelsa, accounted for 61% of the total investment and manufacturing, 28%, transportation & storage 5%, real estate 3% and the remaining sectors accounting for 3%. A smart person will quickly deduce that Lagos is punching far above its weight and will outstrip others in future when investment in oil and gas begins to plummet as the world moves away from fossil fuel in favour of 'cleaner' energy. Interesting that Rivers, Bayelsa and Delta folks are not even bragging yet Anambra man is the biggest and emptiest chest-beater.

Going by the official figures below, even as I know Igbos don't do reality, can any sane person claim Anambra is even 200 years close to overcoming Lagos as an investment destination or is this just another dumb statement from those obsessed with comparing d.icks with the Yorubas/SW daily and 24/7?

Which stupid services sector

Or are u blind
What about kano services index

@mabea,I dont feel threatened, not in the least. If anything, I want other states to develop so that Lagos can be decongested at its heart. The demographic disequilibrium is not doing Lagos any good.Too many souls are swamping the city.
But some south east governors- past and present- have spoken irresponsibly, reductively and invidiously about Lagos. They are always saying Igbos developed Lagos; saying they'll overtake Lagos, bla, bla, bla.
There's too much burden on their shoulders. They should gear their efforts towards developing their regions instead of being in irresponsible competition with Lagos.

Very intelligent response. Most informed Yorubas do not feel threatened by Igbo phantom success we know is false and propagandist anyway. If this is the case then we would move to frustrate them in the SW as Ghanaians do openly to Nigerians in Ghana. What Irritates the intelligent Yorubas are the unbelievable lies Igbos tell , all the way up to their supposedly intelligent leaders, in their effort to compare d.icks with Yorubas. Very irritating !!!!

Why not simply work with the truth and realities on the ground? How can any sane person say what Obiano has only to then be backed online blindly by his Igbo kinsmen? Yet when Yorubas set the record straight with facts and verifiable statistics someone will claim we feel threatened. Delusions of grandeur , based on nada and always targeted at Yorubas, is an Igbo mental illness. This is why Yorubas like me respond. If Igbo don't wake up daily obsessed with trying to disparage and discredit Yorubas , with lies and outright fallacies, then most Yorubas will never have their time.

I have no doubt that it will happen sooner than later.

There there so many private investments coming into the state that don’t even make the news.

The expansion of the service sector in the state according to NBS data is very impressive.

The only thing holding Anambra back is Gas supply to power full industrialization but that will change soon once the nestoil gas pipeline is completed. It’s already 90% complete.

Both are cable one done in lagoon and Anambra cable bridges in Land, Lagos cable bridge not fully paid for its ppp project, while the three in Anambra was fully paid for by state government

1. There's nothing cable about both bridges.

2. The bridge in Lagos was completely paid for by the LASG and handed over to a private entity for management me maintenance.

3. The bridge in Lagos is a real bridge, the one in Anambra is an ordinary flyover.

4. The bridge in Lagos looks new like it was built yesterday, but we've seen pictures of the flyover in Anambra crumbling and breaking apart. It's a poorly constructed rubbish.

6. The flyover in Anambra has no Cable, it's just a metal decoration.

Anambra is one of the poorest states in Nigeria, their IGR is one of the lowest in Nigeria and their budgets are always one of the lowest, obvious salary only budgets.

They need to first concentrate and match their efforts with other poor states in their region and elsewhere in Nigeria.

Mr. You are arguing and accusing Obiano over what you thought he said. The governor didn't reel out any statistics, he was simply elated about the fact that his efforts in driving investments is paying off. He then proclaim his desire and dream which is to compete with or even overtake Lagos. It amount to witchcraft for you to be angry over someone's positive dreams. So your statistics are unsolicited. Those that have your time might take the bait and start brandishing theirs and the whole tread will go haywire, yet the main message from the governor is simple.
