how many business can I operate under 1 cac ?.

Lets say I have 5 different businesses in mind, can these businesses be registered under 1 name or I need 5 different cac registrations?

no you don't , just register a single name .. for example "Taiwo investments" under this i can have so many investments like web design company , printing company , graphic design company

Note: The word "INVESTMENT" is a restricted word that can only be registered with the Registrar General's consent. So you may need to come up with a unique name. I am certain your solicitor can assist you with a registrable name.

As for your concern, you only need to register one entity and draft the object clauses to be as encompassing as possible for Limited Liability Companies, again a solicitor will help with this. If you are interested in registering a Business Name (aka Enterprise) then you just need to be clear about what you want to achieve with it and I usually just advise to include "GENERAL CONTRACTS AND GENERAL MERCHANDISE" to your objects.
