Former Manchester United Striker Wayne Rooney was shown a red card for the second time at DC United In the MLS after a shocking incident in the match against New York Bulls, MySportDab reports.

Rooney received a straight red after a video review, as he was deemed to have elbowed Red Bulls midfielder Cristian Casseres Jr in the neck.

As the two were jostling for position while Rooney defended a cornerafter just 24 minutes, he moved his right arm across his body before slamming himself into Casseres Jr.
