I am currently a patient of this deadly infection. I have known my status for 6 years now. No serious crisis apart from occassionally weak.
Several tests done but my hepatologists says I don't need a drug. My surface antigens still read positive so I guess I am chronically infected and can hardly cure it except by divine intervention. I can tell you my life is not the same eventhough I don't experience huge crisis but there's a constant feeling in my body that I can be healtheir if only I am not having the infection.
