Anambralstson Please why has Anambra state GOVERNMENT refuse to build a FIFA standard Stadium AT AWKA to attract Big matches and attention just like asaba, Uyo, Porthacourt are getting. Anambra State is big enough to own Three to four stadiums. Dont tell me, Chuba ikpeazu stadium, or the one at nnewi, Oba, and Nnaka does are mere Football FIELDS

Governance is a continuous process, I believe next administration after Obiano will focus on it.

State Government currently installing traffic lights in strategic junctions across the State, they've installed in building material market Ogidi, Amawbia, last week I went to Onitsha I saw them installing poles for traffic lights in strategic junctions, same here in Awka, I guess by yuletide season they will roundoff with the projects.

I am planning to do the same next year April when I am in the east. I am saving for my DJI camera Drone. I plan to showcase development in both Onitsha, Awka and Asaba areas.

I notice that lots of Eastern cities don’t have drone videos and pictures.

This is 21st century for Christ sake.

Dirty open gutters everywhere....and that Eze Uzu round about is a total embarrassment. The green initiative is also barely taking shape...those grasses look like they grew on their own and was not planted because they look unkept...the Awka development authority are bunch of mediocre. Nonsense!!

I was able to cover ICC Awka as I promised last week, although security didn't allow me, I found a way to take few pictures, let me start with Eze-Uzu roundabout, all the roundabout in Anambra are being redesign by Awka capital development Authority(ACDA) , they are the ones that redesigned and reconstructed, Zik's roundabout Onitsha, Ogidi roundabout, Eze-Uzu roundabout and ongoing Amawbia roundabout.

Good job

Anambra State Govt. Clarifies Status of Land In Nkwelle Ezunaka GRA, Onitsha metropolis, Confirms Rotech Energy Services As Genuine Developer

It has come to the attention of the Anambra State Government that agents of two firms, namely, Next Agro Transformation Ltd and Hillside Estates Ltd, have been spreading false and misleading information about the ownership of the land in GRA, Nkwelle Ezunaka in Oyi Local Government Area. The agents claim that they are the rightful owners of this place where a modern residential area is being developed. They have even been selling plots of land in the area to unsuspecting members of the public.

The Anambra State Government wishes to inform the public that the area known as Nkwelle Ezunaka GRA has been given to Rotech Energy Services Ltd to develop into a modern estate with over 500 houses. The Memorandum of Understanding to build the estate was signed on July 5, 2019, at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia.

Rotech has already carried out the surveying, plotting and comprehensive planning of the site. It has also cleared it. The state government is impressed with the pace of work by Rotech Energy Services at the site.
It is, therefore, fraudulent, audacious and vexatious for agents of Next Agro Transformation Ltd and Hillside Estate Ltd, who are not known to the state government as stakeholders in the project, to claim in the mass media ownership of the huge expanse of land on which Nkwelle Ezunaka GRA is being built.

The public is hereby warned not to buy any piece of land from these two firms because they are trespassers and interlopers. The appropriate government and security agencies have been directed to make these firms and their agents feel the full weight of the law.

Let us repeat for the umpteenth time that the 1999 Constitution, as amended, vests in the State Governor power over every land in the state.
God bless Anambra State, the Light of the Nation.

Some suggestions about COOUH:

1) Plant trees along those roads

2) Put Solar panels on all those buildings (hospitals need light at very minimum)

3) Have a signboard with a map that shows which building is where

4) Redesign the space in front (left) between the high tension pylons and the express road and open up the wall and do a connecting road between high tension rd (near former thriller fast food) and the expressway. This will allow traffic going from express to inside awka to bypass the chaotic junction. You could use the remaining space for parking.

About time the ANSG prioritize an important project. They also need to concession off the Ikenga Mall on a PPP basis to someone that can complete it and rent it out.

The management has planted masquerade flower on the roads last year , it's still growing.

Have you asked yourself how the "FIFA Standard" stadium will be maintained? How many matches have the Uyo Stadium hosted this year to generate enough money to maintain the stadium? I'm suggesting that if Anambra is to build a FIFA standard stadium, it shouldn't be just to host specific matches in Nigeria which are usually not more than 3 matches in a year, Anambra govt must make sure the stadium will be used continually so it can generate enough money for it's maintenance. The Govt can plan to hand over to a state owned football club where home matches will be played, they can also introduce a new competition to the NPL where most of the matches will be played in the new stadium or better still introduce a new tournament entirely in Nigeria like say "Anambra Mini Athletic Competition" or something similar to ensure that the government continues to generate money from the stadium and the stadium won't end up as a huge liability to the government.

You really have time explaining irrelevant things when there are more pressing issue than a stadium

Moments ago...

Gov Willie Obiano arrived Police marine jetty Otuocha on his tour of the riverine communities of Anambra state to ascertain the water level and effects of flooding in the areas.

The Governor started the tour today, August 27, from the Nigerian Police Jetty, near the the correction service facility, Onitsha.

The tour covers communities in Ogbaru, Anambra east and Anambra west LGAs of the state.

Gov Obiano said that he was relieved that the areas visited were calm with no major incident of flooding. He expressed joy that the people are safe compared to 2018 when the areas were ravaged by severe flooding.

He however warned that there may yet be one more month of rains. He urged the people to move to higher grounds to avoid sudden upsurge of water and possible flooding.

The Governor also noted that the state is fully prepared to contain any emergency. "The state government has strategically positioned water ambulances and speed boats to offer first aid and evacuate people should any emergency arise".

Most of the miscreants here that benchmark with Lagos have never left the shores of the shithole country so they think this bad is better than this terrible. People still think Lagos should be a model city need help. Is it Onitsha and Aba without sidewalks, parks and greenzones. Onitsha is even worst with Nnewi because nobody is addressing the population explosion going out as well as ecological problems the cities face.

Move through Niger Street and around main market you will spit on Obiano's bald head and curse anybody that is praises him

Can you 2 idiots leave this thread? Why is it so difficult to leave this thread? Anambra is moving forward and nobody is asking for the opinion of known bitter fools and kidnappers who used to have a good business during obi's tenure and who never want to accept the fact that Obiano is doing a million times better than obi with limited resources.

People who were celebrating peter obi "donating" buses and boreholes and laptops and chalks to schools are now telling us where to model our state after. Ndi ara!
