It's enough, actually. What does it profit him to make all the money there is to make and lose his family in the end. Home is where a man's heart is.

I hope he has good financial investments.

The way she's influencing his decisions is dangerous
One day she may leave him, She's an Oligarch's daughter so the kids would stay with her and he might be shut off. Or worse left broke
correct you are right

The last time I checked, she's still a girlfriend or 'partner' as tagged in this news; Mikel can't be making strong decisions because of her...
why not let her and d kids be stable somewhere eg. London, Mikel can travel to see them every international break.
Leaving Trabszonspor now is as good as retiring from football finally.

Why are your comments clothed in negativety? Not all interacial relationships end up sour. And FYI he has investments here in Nigeria. Ever heard about Chelsea Estates? He's also got a record label, and stakes in other sectors too.

So he's quitting because of his wife and kids

They are not his neighbors but his family.

I did quite my job in June simple because my job wouldn't grant my request to use my earned personal paid time for 2weeks to attend to my 3 year old son that was having breathing issues at night and when I reached out to my HR to know why they wouldn't grant my request, they directed me to contact Lincoln financial which is an organization outsourced by my workplace to handle issues that had to do with FMLA issues.

When I contacted the organization, they politely told me that my companies HR should have granted my request and shouldn't have directed me to them since I wasn't requesting for a family leave on health grounds but that I actually offered to use my accrued personal paid time which is my right and they now redirected me back to my HR again.

I got fed up with the back and forth and I told my spouse that I can replace a job but I can't replace my son.

I tendered my resignation within 2days of this back and forth drama with my HR because I needed to give my son 100% of my time to figure out what was going on with him.

The same day I tendered my resignation, I started getting calls from the very top of the management board because
Someone in HR that read my resignation letter and the reasons stated for resigning seems like an indictment on the HR department for making me go through all this when all it required was just a simple click of a button to grant my request.

Well, I was offered my job back within the 4th day of tendering my resignation and I respectively declined because my mind was already made up and I knew that I can easily get another job on the same field along with my experience and coming from a very big organization was an advantage.

My son got all the medical attention and family love he so needed and when I submitted my Resume to 5 different organizations, all 5 of them offered me the job but since I was on the driver's seat, I went with the one that offered to pay me what I desired to be paid.

Family comes first while everything else is secondary but this only applies to those that treasure their families though.

Mikel treasures his family and they come first.

I don't really think it is about his wife and kids. He must have considered and discussed that before joining the club.

The issue or obvious challenge is that Mikel has gone past his good days in football. He is done obviously and the club made a gamble with the decision to sign-on Mikel.

He got a yellow card yesterday for committing a foul in the box 18 and the opponent got a penalty that they scored. The manager removed Mikel almost immediately, I think the club is disappointed in his performance and what they see at training so far. I guess all that is getting at him.
