She only killed the skit at the beginning. Her speech wasn't that good. She was looking down at at paper all through. It was more like she was speed reading than making a speech.

Making a great speech is not about speaking off hand....this is a very faulty Nigerian mentality,.....A speech is about content and originality,.....as long as they are your words.....whether you read from a memo or u speak off hand.....it is a great speech if the content is deep and delivery is flawless.

Same here. I never knew she could act so well. I saw smatterings of her acting talent when she mimicked Khafi yesterday but she just impressed me again.

Making a speech is also about connecting with your audience. She never made eye contact with the camera, she was just speed reading what she wrote. Compare her performance with Elo's and Esther's and you'll see my point.

I never said I expected her to speak offhand. No one is even speaking offhand. Even if you are reading from a paper, at least maintain eye contact from time to time, and talk at a pace that people who you are selling your idea to would be able to follow.
