Ah! You don't know that the racketeering madness going on there will not allow agencies think and implement policies beneficial to the masses? When they are finally ready to do so you will see the budgetary proposal/allocation and weep if you care to.

Nigeria is so backwards. What happened to booking tickets online, having more cashing/checking points. NRC needs a serious digitization. This is a terrible site in 21st century.

I was in a conversation with a guy recently and he asked if anyone noticed how dis kidnappings started right afta d rail lines were completed and opened up for usage... Suddenly there is suddenly ticket racketeering especially for tickets from Abuja to Kaduna. They have somehow made d tickets scarce afta creating demand for it. Mayb he was right afta all dat d kidnappings were being sponsored by d same ppl becos if not why hasn't d govt sent security forces storm d area and comb those bushes until their hideouts are found out and these kidnappers flushed out... Why haven't d security agencies talked about getting sensitive information from those kidnapped about their ordeals? Instead U have d police announcing ransom payments and waiting to b briefed..
Hmmmmm, anything is possible n this point can be true. Nigeria is in devil's special operation plan

It's not applicable here in naija, they always want direct cash so the corrupt /sharp practices at their sales point 'll flourish.

Thank God for GEJ that ensured the construction of this rail line even if the major beneficiaries never appreciated it. Today it is saving their lives as their governors and president cannot keep those roads safe and are rather negotiating and funding bloody BH and Fulani militias masquerading as bandits.
Eventhough I am not a Buhari's fan...Try an get your fact right before posting on public forums. The Initial plan was drafted by Olusegun Obasanjo while the flag off without funding was done by GEJ(He simply went to the site and flagged the project off without contract awarded). Tot bout same thing recently. I think it's a ploy by the elite to drive traffic to the train in order to get their investment returns in the shortest possible time.
Its Naija... They put in huge amounts in the train sector... They ll need patronage in order to recup their investments.
No wonder lil is done on the kd-abj road

OBJ signed the contract for the train and GEJ started the project and almost completed it..while Buhari met the project ongoing till it was completed and this happened not long after he entered power( remember at this time he was complaining of not finding any money in the govt purse). Please get your fact right..there is no need playing politic here. Now the Lagos Ibadan rail..I will say its APC project.Continuity is a good things however people should say things the way they are without sentiment.

I was there live at 4pm yesterday to take the last train to abuja. The struggle seen above was for standing ticket as all the seats were already full. The number of people standing in the train is more than those sitting. It was a serious struggle to pay the same price and stand all the way to abuja. God help Nigeria
