Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has called for drastic measures to be taken over Xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa.

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, called on the African Union, AU, to take urgent steps against Xenophobic attacks and bring an end to bloodletting of Nigerians

Atiku on his verified Twitter page wrote: “The attacks and killings has since stirred reactions from well meaning Nigerians calling on government to take drastic measures against South African government.

“Reported attacks against Nigerians in South Africa is unacceptable and stands condemned.

“Urgent steps need to be taken with the SA authorities and the African Union to bring an end to this ill wind that can only end up destroying the fabric of our African brotherhood.”

We had reported that viral videos on Monday showed widespread attacks on Nigerians and their businesses in South Africa.

The President of the Nigeria Union South Africa (NUSA), Adetola Olubajo who confirmed the development to NAN said on Monday that the attacks began on Sunday morning in Jeppestown area of Johannesburg when a building was set ablaze by an angry mob..

Baba Atikulated u still dey?
E don tee ooo.....

That being said I think it's high time we Nigerian realize it's time to fix our country.. We have multi -billion dollars investments outside our mother land and yet they still see us as a problem in foreign land... If we can channel the energy we put in plans to travel into our country Nigeria would be great again... These attacks r not just on igbos, yorubas, or Hausa it's on all us..

"What AU Should Do To South Africa" by Atiku Abubakar.

Above is the headline.

But in the report "Urgent steps need to be taken with the SA authorities and the African Union to bring an end to this ill wind that can only end up destroying the fabric of our African brotherhood.” ~ Atiku Abubakar.

I was expecting to see what exactly AU should do to SA, not the trending calls on the lips of everyone. angry

Do you know why SA can confidently do the sh*t they do, it's because they've seen a country so divided among themselves internally that they can barely stay united and speak with one voice against foreign attacks.
And to think some retards here on nairaland are saying the Nigerians there are just from a particular tribe, shows how low we've gone as a country. As a matter of fact, Nigeria can no longer be called a country if a fellow countryman can say sh*t about his own countryman in the full view of other nationals.
Nigeria will continue to be volatile to foreign attacks in other countries if we continue to be disunited. The world is watching, let the retards, tribalists and olodos take note of that

I dont know why Nigeria government cant take dramatic measures instead of calling on AU, EU, FIFA.

Did Iran kill Americans before they start chopping sanctions? Let Nigeria governments impose tarrifs on South Africa companies and products ..

That's the best way to reset their brains

This is what Trevor noah said about the xenophobic attack

Trevor Noah Posts:: There are about 2.3 million Immigrants living in South Africa, this number includes other Africans, Chinese, Bangladeshi, Indians, middle easterners and Europeans who are not born in SA. out of this number, only 1.6 million are Africans. The 1.6 MILLION Africans mostly run small shops, vending, service industries etc. They may lay claim to less than 0.00001% of wealth in SA. Whites in South Africa makes up about 8.7% of the population and controls over 85% wealth. Though there are increases in black CEOs and managers, these are mere servants and just a optical presentations. There are about 6000 Europeans families who own over 85% of agricultural lands in south Africa. So when I hear south Africans claiming that other Africans are competing with them on dwindling/scarce resources, I say that your anger and outrage is misplaced. African immigrants don't own lands, don't run companies, don't own mining companies, don't operate trophy hunting companies, do not ship out capital to European banks. Yours is a complete misplaced anger, prejudice and xenophobia built up out of inferiority complex created by decades of apartheid and oppression. I don't see fellow African as a competitor but a fellow compatriot who is struggling to feed his family and have some comfort in this short life-time. If you feel undeserved in wealth distribution, please research again who controls that wealth and it has nothing to do with some Nigerian, Zimbabwean or Mozambican working in a restaurant or Ethiopian running a small shop, or a Ghanaian mechanic working hard in the sun. There is zero excuse to hate or despise any African at all, there are no merits for it and it's baseless at best. When African Immigrants living in SA start owning like 20% of wealth and not hiring SA natives, then I will be on the streets with you to protest. Till then, if you hate fellow African for simply running a simple store, you are nothing but a buffoon, slowpoke who was prematurely circumc

So Atiku sef see am. Those Nairaland Donald Trump supporters where Una dey? We can't even call his attention to this SA nonsense because his rhetoric is the same. SA is toeing and amplifying the anti-immigrant rhetoric of Trump. Nigerians should receive sense because no matter what this is the only country we have.

I dont think buhari understands what his roles are as a president of a country.. Truth be told, nothing happens to an american or a uk citizen abroad and their presidents or prime minister dont react.. But look at our own govt, he is busy strategizing on how to bring forth ruga.. Tufiakwa. I weep seriously. Imagine this shit..

Igbos should have the feeling of what it takes to tell Fulani not to occupy any place in the east because some of them kill, rape and destroy our farm land. In SA, many of us sell drugs, rob, kill and now this is what we get!!!

This south Africans are devil's.
The video below showed a hard-working ndigbo man who employed 10 south Africans in his biz and yet his shop was destroyed.
Kudos to the south African police for arresting the culprits.
