To get a new key is even less than 25k.
The plastic key in Apo is 8k, programming 10k making 18k.

Have you been able to solve this problem? If yes, what did u do, how much did it cost cos I am experiencing the same vibrations while braking from top speed. Car is c230k 2005.

Sorry have been busy and have not checked this site in a while

apparently a combination of substandard tyres and not putting on the rims properly(a small rubber gasket that goes between the rim and rotors was missing) caused those vibrations so reverted to continentals(my pocket still hurts) did proper installation of rims and balancing and everything is back to normal now

My friend bought a w211 e class that was converted from diesel engine to petrol engine. He didn't know until he decided to check the vin history of the car yesterday. Though he is still driving the car and everything seems fine. Please what are the things to worry about? What are the possible problem he may encounter as he continues to drive the car....please share your thoughts!

if it was done in Europe(which is close to impossible since Europe like diesel much) then you are safe.
But if it.was here then expect some issues to start showing up soon.
I got mine too last year w211 E220 CDI FACELIFT and the experience wasn't funny at all.
One friend of mine bought it from me(at throway price),repaired it and is still using it till date.
I don't talk to him no more cos he.isnt a good person.
I wish you luck bro

You have nothing to worry about.
Since you said it was done in Europe, they will just change parts/components, sensors to petrol.
It's same body and frame...u are good to go.

Where did you see That the conversion was done in Europe and why will anyone convert from diesel to petrol in Europe of all places?

He waited for me to frustrate with it and proposed a very ridiculous price for something I didn't.enjoy for up to 5 months
I wish it was now.I could have let the car rot than sell to anyone!
He knew the solution all along but didn't tell me for his selfish interest.
That guy is a snake!
