Below was my view on another thread some weeks back:

Nigeria actually need more than N1 trillion dollars in bailouts. 100billion dollars will just be to settle debt. There's no way around it.

The questions now are:

1. Who will preside over it to avoid mismanagement as usual? Our past and present leaders were either very knowledgeable on how to put the money to good use but were corrupt or does not know anything about the economy and still very corrupt.

2. Where can we source the money from and at what interest rate?

3. Do we have the semi and high skilled workers to get to work and help the country become productive? Nigerians need to be efficiently trained for 10-15 years to be able to meet up with what south Korea and Singapore had in the 70s.

Well said!!!

They are untapped potentials in the Agriculturial sector that demand all hands on desk to be fully involved in excavating the rich potentials in it but government lukewormness in abandoning the sector make me sick.

Depending solely on oil as our major means of boosting our economy without developing on other sectors like Agriculture is out of place and shallowly in reaching our potentials as a country with diverse cultural beliefs and values.

Am pray for oil to dry up time soon so as to come to our senses....!

The so called oil money is equitably distributed for our perusal only meant for our so called greedy leaders across the niger.

It is the constitution that is your stumbling block right?

Excuses are a failure'a best friend.

President Cyril Ramaphosa makes mistake on live TV while addressing xenophobic attacks (video)

https://www.naijanewsgist.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/President-Cyril-Ramaphosa-makes-mistake-on-live-TV-while-addressing-xenophobic-attacks-video.jpg

A video of the moment President Cyril Ramaphosa made a mistake while addressing South Africans on gender based violence crisis and xenophobic attacks witnessed in the country has gone viral on social media, and has been described as an embarrassing and epic fall.

The South African President started off his address by reading from a teleprompter at the SABC’s parliamentary studios.

However a couple of seconds in, Ramaphosa made a mistake which he flagged on Live TV by saying: “Let’s start again. I made a mistake”.

Following the backlash that ensued after the video was leaked, SABC has apologised to President Cyril Ramaphosa for flighting the pre-recorded message that included a re-take of his address to the nation on Thursday evening.

The public broadcaster wishes to apologise to the president of the republic and the nation for any embarrassment caused in this unfortunate breach of the news production process,” SABC spokesperson Vuyo Mthembu said in a statement.

“The SABC takes this issue seriously and can assure the president and the public that due process will be followed and appropriate action taken.”

“Indonesia alone recorded US$16.5bn, 54.5 per cent of total palm oil exports. Unfortunately, Nigeria is not listed among the first 15 as at this moment.”
You crude lying tomboil... you can lie is capable of making a king wear pants on their head as if he were putting on a common cap or Bleep anything in skirts or gowns in Scotland.
are you saying Nigeria is not living up to it's standard because you have enough confidence to tagg the world bank in your quaky research, thinking that she would release support aides to you in cash and kind for you to continue to feed off Nigeria"s demise? Mate, wake up and drop the whistle hammer on the truth... I has just come back from a local tour in the same delta and believe me the areas that producing palm oil think they're making more impact in our economy than BLCO market, which I am inclined to believe haven spent time harvesting bangar and making oil with a singular mill that produced more than 100 gallons of red oil daily in major market aside selling it's shaft which is alternative fuel to firewood and the kennel for Olive oil and ororo which is a refined local adiagbon... Do your math, almost everything uses oil, in your shoe polish, in you foods, fries and bakens etc etc Although palm oil is indigenous to delta, it is produced throughout the southern protectorate of Nigeria which includes the West, South and East...
As a little lad my mother took us on escortion when she checked me in to my paternal grandfather's cocoa farm empire, since then i have wondered how much of cocoa chocolate we eat daily, minerals, beverages, creams, etc even in major food and snack... Don't let me start talking about the others from educated observation...

Wow!

What is the government doing about the margins in wheat importation?
That is a far crazier situation than all the hype on rice.

It seems talking about self-sufficiency in wheat isn't sexy to talk about to this government and I think the previous one.

Obasanjo did push the policy for cassava flour to be part of bread production. I wonder what happened to that policy. Now I understand why that policy was made in the first place.

Don't waste your time on theories and speculation, however noble they are....

This nation will not move an inch forward with the crop of leaders at the top. No practical ideas, no steps taken, nothing but to steal and relocate their loved ones abroad.

The way forward is a case of 2 choices:

1. Split the nation or basically decentralization. This will compel certain retrogressive regions to sit up finally.

2. Hand this dying nation to those that can salvage it... Alternatively, military take over, as we are not moving forward democratically... Our democracy has achieved nothing but foster and entrench corruption of catastrophic proportions.

That was an area Akinwumi Adeshina,...the past Minister of Agriculture was getting it right in the past administration! Only for the present administration to appoint Audu Ogbe as a replacement and the slowpoke destroyed the sector in the last four years!

Truth is you cannot talk of agriculture without technology. A shithole where electricity is a luxury and cant boast of one stretch of good road. A place where farmers still use hoe in the 21st century its delusion to believe you can achieve anything in agriculture
