I registered for my National Identity at NIMC office in Port Harcourt, 13th February, 2013, got my National Identification Number on the 14th of February, 2013, after then till today I am yet to get my National Identity Card. What does it take to prepare an ID Card?

This country called Nigeria needs a serious deliverance because nothing good is working effectively

I registered mine in 2014 , and till now have not gotten the permanent card. Have gone to registration centres severally for enquiry without any hope of when it will be produced.
They advised I should wait for sms on the collection.

I think it's not the card that matters but get NIN(National Identification Number). Because I heard from a reliable source that very soon you can't do anything with corporate n government agencies in Nigeria without your NIN.(renewal of passport,CAC, bank account opening, vehicle particulars, enrollment of your kids in government school n so on). Also your NIN must be linked to your BVN.

I did mine in April 2018 n got my NIN in August 2018... still waiting for the small plastic one but my NIN I have n know now.

Never!!! I don't identify as a Nigerian

Please bear with us. We are working round the clock to provide new INK to print out the ID cards.

Printing of ID card in Nigeria is like preparing to travel to the Moon
At Business centres, it will take you 2-3 hours to get it. Okay if you say because of the chip on the card it will call for a longer time, so I ask does banks issue out ATM card like one month in a worst case to receive your ATM Card? But it is almost taking forever for Nigerian Govt to provide my ID Card.

yes I went there about a month ago now and they told me mine is not ready. They further asked me if I received a text message from them? I said no. So that ended the whole gist and left with disappointment

Me and you, were in the same WhatsApp group. Mine was in 2013 as well and till date, nothing. I haven't gotten the so called text message. Went to their office 3times and was told my national ID isn't ready. I'm tired.
I doubt if we belong in same Whatsapp group. I have not gotten my own text too, but I feel I should try again last month after several years registration. It ended up in disappointment
