Oyo state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has made known his intention to pay Osun's share of Lautech salary, in order to avoid another strike and delay in academic session.

Lautech is owned by Osun and Oyo state, and they signed an agreement to always split the funding which Osun has always failed to keep up with.

I will wait to hear from the governor of Osun State before believing this news. If true, kudos the Gov. Makinde even though I don’t think he should have disclosed it on social media.

Going forward, Osun State need to fully hand over the university to Oyo State. The joint ownership has been a disaster so far, it should be discontinued.
