UncleJudax:Look, I have never held Yorubas, my people, to be innocent of wrongdoing in the Nigerian journey. No major ethnic group is innocent of wrongdoing as per the calamities that got us where we are today. My central point is that Igbos should focus on what is real and own the consequences of their own action. I am one Yoruba who admits that Igbos deserve 2023 shot if we are speaking about equity, fairness and dedication to nation-building. The Igbos have not led, as one of the major ethnic group in Nigeria, since our current democracy began in 1999 i.e 20 years ago !!!! Yet whose fault is this if not that of Igbos themselves. You have seen how Yorubas vote to include the latest election where many in the Southwest showed they were ready to accept Obi as their VP rather than their own son Osinbajo. If Igbos were politically mature, built bridges and showed a belief in Nigeria and Nigerians then there would be a worthy Igbo candidate today the egalitarian Yorubas would have no problem getting behind. As it is, no one can trust Igbos until you banish the likes of Kanu and IPOB to show a belief in the Nigerian project with a new political devotion to showing other Nigerians you are patriotic Nigerians who will serve to uplift Nigeria if you get the chance. What obtains now is fear of Igbos getting power because other Nigerians feel you hate them and will be unfair towards them if you lead. Sowore is without allies today because he wants to be a revolutionary and politician at the same time. This leaves people confused about who he is same as Nigerians are confused by Igbo shout of Biafra and "2023 is Igbo turn" contradictory noise from the SE. You want to lead a people and Nation you profess hate for daily and call a Zoo? Narrowed down to what is best for Nigeria, all progressive folks know that it is a Yoruba Presidency. Yet, once again, Igbos will not redeem themselves when given the chance to do so as historical hatred of others now mean you want to back Northerners, just to frustrate Yorubas, when you know this is a step backward for Nigeria. By the grace of God, Yorubas will overcome. The baton will pass to our new Awolowo who will deliver the success the entire Nigeria , including Yorubas like OBJ, worked to frustrate the original Awolowo from achieving. Even your greatest hero Ojukwu revered Awolowo as "the best President Nigeria never had". So please back the backward North and we Yorubas will do what we have always done as the ethnic group who always have the clarity of vision to try and do what will make Nigeria great. https://akahinews.org/2023-presidency-why-southwest-should-produce-the-next-president-senator-hanga-reveals/ 2023 Presidency: Why Southwest Should Produce The Next President – Senator Hanga Reveals |

candidtalk:Fair enough... Buhari gave IPOB the prominence they currently enjoy, the mode of leadership by Buhari drew people to Nnamdi Kanu... I for one was never about this biafra thing until Buhari came on board, I never felt we are not one until Buhari came... Tinubu is also towing same line in some of his utterances, playing tribal cards./. The only way to make IPOB irrelevant is to get someone that will unite the country and play fairly on the ground of equity. Osibanjo did that the very FIRST time he was handed over to and the entire South, like a child beaten with one hand by its mother and pulled and cuddled with the other hand, calmed down. I can almost bet he was WARNED for uniting the country because after that phase, he started taking little steps in order not to offend some persons and it appear Buhari does not like a peaceful country... chaos, crisis gives him hysterical orgasm so much like opium. This is no lie, the facts are there for all discerning and truthful minds to see. That man is devil incarnate. There signs that by 2022, most of Tinubu's men will be rendered useless and powerless. They have started already but because it is too late, they are still doing "testing 1,2,3.." on the mic. |

TheBeat:Let me remind you that it's not stated in the Constitution that presidency or any national position should be zoned, this become appealing to all Nigerains as the right thing to do, but some will still hide under the auspices of the Constitution to have their way. The two parties won't zone their candidacy to the SE, trust me! Atiku is from the NE while Buhari is from the NW. Yaradua is from NW too. They too in the North have divisions of regions just as we have in the South. NC too haven't gotten their chance to rule? The only thing that'll make 2023 very interesting is if APC and PDP zones their candidacy to the South, then it will be SE vs SW and whoever win wins. That's when whoever is picked as vice presidential candidates of the two will play a vital role in who will lead.. Note! That slot will probably go to NE, NW, or NC. So the vote will be divided. SE should work hard in order to grab the ticket of PDP or APC they shouldn't give up the hope, because of the North's political superiority and ideology. Post isn't given to anyone or group or region on a platter of gold, it is a political tussle until our constitution adopt zoning. |

Dagrace01:Post is given and not taken. The party decides who or which zone to present even though they go into primaries. Buhari was anointed by APC and all other interest collapsed behind the party's choice. He has zero competence record, zero political knowhow and financially incapable but he won. Just like what happened in the national assembly election. Yaradua was equally handpicked and presented to the party. |

Continue to live in the past and hoping for a great future. The Constitution of Nigeria and the electoral laws are clear on the conduct of elections. NOBODY is owing you any debt on account of electoral choices. Vote for whoever you like and stop claiming any non-existent debt. The victim mentality of these kids from a particular zone of the country is so annoying. engrchykae: |

Excuse me sir, at the APC primaries in 2014, Buhari CONTESTED and wasn't handpicked. The APC hierrachy led by Tinubu and the first chairman of the party, Pa Adebisi Akande supported him to garner the largest numbers of party delegates. Atiku spent dollars than any other contestants but he only cane third behind Buhari, Kwankwanso and just a little ahead of Rochas Okorocha who came fourth. Mr Sam Nda-Isaiah came fifth with just 3 votes. TheBeat: |

That part of your post that reads 'It appears Buhari doesn't like a peaceful Country' got me laughing hysterically. Buhari, Tinubu and all these Political players will leave the scene very soon but Nigeria will remain. Quorax: |

Please bros, campaign and vote for that Someone that can bring massive economic growth and we will all be grateful to you for installing the right leader for your Country. Nigieria needs solutions to her myriads of problems. He doesn't have to be Tinubu or any Yoruba person, it may be any credible and resourceful person like Atiku, Kwankwanso, Tambuwal or anybody. Thanks Quorax: |

Quorax:You're reasoning is that of a defeated man. Igbos are not non to easily give up. SW have had more than their fair share of the presidency is either East or North. |

Quorax:Igbos really need to make Yorubas like me understand your agitation for Biafra. I am a Lagosian and spent all my life in Lagos. I have Igbo friends who are successful and proud people. Igbos have done well in the State and Yorubas who are achievers have no problem admitting this and showcasing the success of Igbos because we are not threatened by it. So why do you speak as if all we do is impede your progress to the extent you only want your own nation? Aside from limitations in Lagos political participation, I don't see anything preventing Igbos having a good and successful life in Lagos. Igbos are home and business owners so what more do you want? You clearly don't like Buhari but I feel he was the right person to step in after GEJ and probably best till 2023. The question remains, for sensible Igbos, that what is the reasoning behind Igbos, if they cannot produce the 2023 President, devoting themselves to siding with the North instead of what is going to be 100% a progressive Yoruba candidate who will far better facilitate the level playing field Igbos have always told us they desire far more than the Presidency? Do we not remember a prominent Northern leader once advocating for the South to be 'slowed down' so the North can catch up? Do you Igbos think you are harming Yorubas by supporting the North in 2023 when the reality is that you will only be taking yourselves backward? Hate Buhari all you want but Kwankwaso, EL Rufai , Tambuwal et al will be worse as they will throw out the values of equity and fairness the likes of Buhari still adhere to. It is not Yorubas who are set to deny Igbos participation or equity over 2023. It is the North who are fundamentally scared of you guys cutting them off from the umbilical cord linking them to their FG nursing mother. Ultimately, Yorubas don't care. We will keep doing what we can to lead knowing that we will not mess up again once we gain the Presidency as we don't have any Yoruba waste man, like OBJ, in the mix currently. We are only loaded with enablers and progressives. Yorubas will reform Nigeria if we get the Presidency in 2023. If we don't get it then no yawa as we will keep doing our thing at regional level to secure progress for our people. As Senator Hanga said, you can trust Yorubas to be fair and progressive. I continue to insist this was proven by the number of Yorubas who voted for Obi to be their VP instead of Osinbajo because of disillusionment with the Buhari and Osinbajo Presidency. I am not sure any other ethnic group in Nigeria is capable of voting that dispassionately or in absolute support of good governance above ethnic affiliation as the Yorubas did few months ago. |

Rochas2023:You are sounding like the defeated one. Why the North in 2023 after an uninterrupted 8 years since 2015? What is wrong with you? It is SE or SW. SE most meritorious because of the equity and fairness of that reality considering the Igbos , as one of the major ethnic groups in Nigeria, have not led since our current democracy began in 1999. Yet if this cannot happen, because the support for Igbo Presidency is not forthcoming, why should Igbos align behind the North to condemn us all to more sideways and backward football passes when we know the SW will be attack-minded and forward passing in the attempt to move Nigeria forward as the progressives they are known to be? |

candidtalk:It will happen if the SW wants it to happen, they are only the southern group that's against Igbo presidency. If they are against SE presidency SE Should be against them. The North will rule Nigeria forever if SW does not get over their greadiness. If power returns to North is because of SW. I don't understand why a group of people should be that greedy. |
