Are you of the opinion that should Atiku fail then it means the judiciary has been compromised?
Yes

what do you mean,? Upholding justice is wrong stop the deceit please
Even Kenya was able to do that
If ruling against buhari is the justice that is what the judiciary should do,no sentiments or is buhari equals to the country

In the traditional African setting before white man we had a system of judiciary similar in structure to the one in Britain and which we copied and use today.

When a case of community dispute escalates through the chains of heirarchy from a local committee to the King's Council, the two sides of the dispute are heard and the recommendation given by committee and Elders circle is also heard.
The Council then deliberates on the weight of the issue. Their end result is peace and harmony on the land. Sometimes it's a straightforward judgement, but at other times a judgement is crooked.

Crooked judgements can tear a community apart and have unwanted repercursions. So wisdom is applied in favor of peace and harmony. In the end both the appelant and defendant walk away with relief, and the community is preserved.

It's not hard!

We don't know if Atiku's case will come out straightforward or crooked. What I said up there is, if indeed it turns out to be crooked, the Justices of our modern Supreme Court will apply wisdom as did our forefathers in the King's Council of old.

Presidential Election Petition Tribunal...History in the Making As We Await Final Judicial Pronouncements

The news commentary above is a compilation of reports from local and international observers, Proceedings at the Tribunal, the many failures of INEC and the activities of security and APC agents in the February 23, 2019 Presidential Election.

Note that President Buhari was not qualified to contest the election and he also lied about his certificates/credentials.

Tonye,
You should know that Supreme Court will not rule in favor of Atiku, even if all opinions are on his side. The Justices not only have to uphold law, they must uphold sacredness of a Sovereingty. The sovereingty of Nigeria in substance is zero, but it has a form, or an ideal which the Justices must respect at all cost. Ruling in favor of Atiku will risk sovereign power and we may never recover from the unintended outcomes that will follow.
You mean even if/when Atiku's case is of substance the court ruling in his favor will amount to sovereignty risk? Is Buhari now bigger than the country?

You still didn't answer my question.

Don't forget that a respected Jurist of the Supreme Court(forgot his name) once said, the court is a court of Justice not a court of peace.

Without Justice the court has no usefulness

. They have started their scare Mongering, like the baboons and dogs which worked for them in the past.it worked at that time because people thought buhari will be the Messiah, now the people have seen he is empty and have nothing to offer,if he is sacked now on what basis will people fight or risk their lives for him, there will be no incentive to do that because they have nothing to benefit, the elite that are benefiting can not come out, beside there can be no peace without Justice
Let Justice be done, pure and simple

I did answer your question. We have a precedence in this country. If nothing else it can stand as legal reference and come into consideration for way forward, should Atiku win the legal case.

America went through similar predicament in Bush vs Gore.

There is no court beyond Supreme Court so a finality must come from them. That finality can be disastrous and so they are not just lawmakers, they are also peace conservatists.

There is a legal test and a political test anytime a judgement comes out crooked. In some countries the Justices will bring in academia and jurists of exceptional standing for added input and concensus.

When Buhari lost his case against GEJ in 2011 I assume that was a compromised judiciary also?
Re: Presidential Election Tribunal: History In The Making As We Await Judgement by IkalaiyeLOTO: 8:09pm On Sep 09, 2019
Just as buhari failed to proof his case poling unit by poling unit in 2011, Atiku has also failed to proof his presidential electoral malpractices claim poling unit by poling unit, so he'll get the same judgement buhari got in 2011. It's pay back time for pdp "do or die" politics. grin
