surgical: In the traditional African setting before white man we had a system of judiciary similar in structure to the one in Britain and which we copied and use today. When a case of community dispute escalates through the chains of heirarchy from a local committee to the King's Council, the two sides of the dispute are heard and the recommendation given by committee and Elders circle is also heard. The Council then deliberates on the weight of the issue. Their end result is peace and harmony on the land. Sometimes it's a straightforward judgement, but at other times a judgement is crooked. Crooked judgements can tear a community apart and have unwanted repercursions. So wisdom is applied in favor of peace and harmony. In the end both the appelant and defendant walk away with relief, and the community is preserved. It's not hard! We don't know if Atiku's case will come out straightforward or crooked. What I said up there is, if indeed it turns out to be crooked, the Justices of our modern Supreme Court will apply wisdom as did our forefathers in the King's Council of old. 1 Like |

ImperialYoruba:You mean even if/when Atiku's case is of substance the court ruling in his favor will amount to sovereignty risk? Is Buhari now bigger than the country? |

ImperialYoruba:You still didn't answer my question. Don't forget that a respected Jurist of the Supreme Court(forgot his name) once said, the court is a court of Justice not a court of peace. Without Justice the court has no usefulness |

TonyeBarcanista:. They have started their scare Mongering, like the baboons and dogs which worked for them in the past.it worked at that time because people thought buhari will be the Messiah, now the people have seen he is empty and have nothing to offer,if he is sacked now on what basis will people fight or risk their lives for him, there will be no incentive to do that because they have nothing to benefit, the elite that are benefiting can not come out, beside there can be no peace without Justice Let Justice be done, pure and simple |

TonyeBarcanista: I did answer your question. We have a precedence in this country. If nothing else it can stand as legal reference and come into consideration for way forward, should Atiku win the legal case. America went through similar predicament in Bush vs Gore. There is no court beyond Supreme Court so a finality must come from them. That finality can be disastrous and so they are not just lawmakers, they are also peace conservatists. There is a legal test and a political test anytime a judgement comes out crooked. In some countries the Justices will bring in academia and jurists of exceptional standing for added input and concensus. |

Just as buhari failed to proof his case poling unit by poling unit in 2011, Atiku has also failed to proof his presidential electoral malpractices claim poling unit by poling unit, so he'll get the same judgement buhari got in 2011. It's pay back time for pdp "do or die" politics. |
