I suspected that some people would have been forging 3 years experience just to get more points... I’m glad the VOs are fishing these desperate applicants out.. Most credible companies would not pay you in cash for 3 years!!! It doesn’t even make sense.

there are many companies that still pay with cash i.e schools paying school fees. cash and carry kind of companies etc. the innocent ones are paying for the sins of others. we are all paying for waec and transcript verification due to fraud by people in the past.

While filling Post-ITA, fill ACCA (by correspondence) and Nigeria as country of study then include a letter of explanation with your docket showing Lagos Nigeria. Below is a sample of the LOE

LETTER OF EXPLANATION
ASSOCIATION OF CHARTERED CERTIFIED ACCOUNTANTS - {BY CORRESPONDENCE}
Although WES ECA report indicated that the country of my Association Of Chartered Certified Accountants certification is the United Kingdom, it is an international examination body that has examination centres in Lagos and the examinations are moderated by the British Council in Nigeria.

I never had to travel out of the country to write the exams and have attached an email/docket from ACCA acknowledging my entry for June 2016 diet exams stating the examination centre as:

Exam Centre: I923 Lagos

Consequently, I never traveled to the United Kingdom and has no Police Clearance Certificate from the United Kingdom.

I really think something is fundamentally wrong with IELTS exam markers. How on earth will they make costly mistakes in marking objectives (READING) such that it has to be upgraded from 7.5 to 8.5.

Even a primary school student won't make an error of such. Do they vet their examiners at all? I mean, this is really annoying. I can only imagine numerous people that have been marked down wrongly and had to dish out another 75k without thinking of EOR.

I really wish something could be done or an external body can audit or check their activities.

There's something not right about that organization called British Council and MOD/IDP, but unfortunately, we're at their mercy.

Nevertheless, for reading, you must understand that the difference between a score of 7.5 and 8.5 is only 3 wrongly or rightly marked questions. And for Pete's sake it's a paper-based exam that is administered by humans, hence prone to errors!

It is not a Nigerian thing neither is anyone trying to fleece you of your money. I mean, you get a refund of your EOR fee if there are any changes in your test result.

The onus is on every test taker to prepare very well, perform excellently and if the result isn't satisfactory, you contest it by asking for a remark.
