President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday, met with Maj. Gen. Abdullahi Bagudu Mamman (Rtd) at the presidential villa, Abuja, Igbere TV reports.

Mamman is the Board Chairman, Global Initiative for Leadership Success (GILS), a group said to promote leadership success in Nigeria.

The meeting with Buhari, Igbere TV gathered, centred on the proposed African Security Leadership Summit with the Nigerian government.

Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, who made the disclosure in a tweet sighted by Igbere TV on Tuesday, wrote;

“President @MBuhari meets with His Royal Highness, Maj. Gen. Abdullahi Bagudu Mamman (Rtd) and his team, on proposed African Security Leadership Summit today at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.”

Igbere TV recalls that Mamman, who once chaired a presidential committee on ‘Boko Haram detainees’, came under attack after he declared that Nigeria was not ready for the fight against insurgency and terrorism.

We joke alot in this country even with lives of people. Because it is only a joke that you have a scenario of a man who destroyed democracy decades ago and you expect him to cuddle that same democracy.
