Oga let's learn to be appreciative sometimes haba! I am not a Tecno fan buh how do you expect a 4GB Ram and 64GB Rom plus those other dope features to be sold for 30k? A new flagship device for that matter.. Ask yourself this, if you were the Owner of the company, would you truly sell such device for such outrageous amount?

The price is okay abeg in my own honest opinion
If he was the owner of the brand, it would go for 60k sef

Oga am not one but for that price tecno did well when I bought my camon x 16gb version it's 54000 naira I felt cheated after three months 32gb version was sold for 48,000 naira, now a new camon 12 with 4gb ram and 64rom for 47,500 its a big kudos to tecno and to any one who uses that phone even Glo 4G band 28 is covered what else does human being want again in a phone I mean it's cheap go and see other brands like Nokia, Samsung or even Xiaomi they are expensive with 64rom and 4gb ram
Honest comment I must admit.

Funny enough, all these processor talks depend on user levels. A regular picture freak n social media lover has nothing to do processor type. Finally, it's a case of different strokes for different folks at d end of d day.

That's it tecno phones are becoming cheaper these days I guess it's because of Xiaomi, Nokia, umidigi, Samsung and Oppo presence in nigerian market

At least they don't bother to develop misconception in the minds of users with high range devices. Bringing all such features a user can experience in budget phones is not wrong, MediaTek supports budget phones very well. And yeah stop being a negative marketer for any brand, the world is full of them so, don't be one.

This is what you think not people like us. Helio P22 chipset is a decent chipset good for phones in the budget segment.

You'll never see a P22 phone running on latest Android and has 4GB Ram and 64GB Rom for 30k range. Prove me wrong if i am..
These are the few reasons you won't see a device with latest android version running on 4gig ram, 64gig and uses an mtk p22 chipset.
1. The mtk helio p22 has a maximum input of 4/6gig ram and 64gig rom, which translates to extreme utilisation of the chipset mechanical power in terms of memory configuration.

2. The 720p max support of the mtk helio p22 means the chipset falls on lowend phones not even midrange like other mtk chipsets try to achieve.

3. The Ai capabilities on the device are 5% to non existent due to low resources being generated by the chipset during use.

4. The latest you can find any device using the mtk chip is between May to November 2018.

5. The second device to launch with the p22 was xiaomi redmi 6, and not even jumia or aliexpress has it in stock to sell, as it's a 1year old device with a third generation replacement already in works [redmi 8].

6. The p22 chip only supports max rear camera mp of 21mega pixels, which no company would invest in, in this current time seeing the minimum for low-midrage devices now is triple camera configurations. So you can clearly understand that this tecno camon 12 with triple camera of 16mp+2+8 is in real life 13+2+5 and the figures being marketed by tecno in terms of camera configuration are just over exposed picture enlargement.

7. No company is as wayward as tecno, infinix or itel in the mobile industry to actually go back in time to use a chip that even the manufacturers no longer support its maintenance.

8. Tecno has no billing right to price the camon 12 higher than 30k, due to these facts; nothing is innovative about the device. No quick charge, no usb type c, helio p22 is over a year old and unlike snapdragon, mtk stockpile not maintain already produced chipset.

I have no plans to buy anything transission in the near future, but I do enjoy exposing tecno's ignorance in the mobile industry. Seems to help realise they are no smartphone maker, just a featured-phone-smart maker, these reality helps them cut down price of their phones every year.

If you still need more reasons as to why you won't see any latest device with helio p22 selling for 30 or less or have any prof that the details I provided above are false, please let me know.

Wow! This write up is really insightful. With all these i have read about this phone, I won't even advice anyone close to me buys it. I am planning on getting a new device soon and I've got some options written down. Samsung A30, Redmi Note 7, Nokia X6... I believe goin for one of these will be a good buy. Thanks for the eye opening points.
