What’s the formula for this sharing self .It doesn’t even translate to development and employment for my people.Emancipation from mental slavery
they contributed more to the federal revenue hence receive more revenue. Fg generates more revenue from those states. It doesn't translate to development in those states because of the activities of those states leaders e.g bayelsa with only 9 local government and population not up to 2 mill ought to be the richest state in Nigeria and her people ought not to know anything called poverty.

See the pics below. It shows we don't have a definite order on some basic but yet major things in Nigeria. When reciting the national anthem, which of the positions below is right? If our leaders have 3 options as seen in the pics below, then ...........

Even if you divert the whole oil revenue to their state, they will still wail.

Instead of them to hold their governors responsible, question him about the bail out funds, question him about the federal allocations, question him about the state IGR.....
They will refuse, they will shout.... Buhari oooo

If all faults should be laid on the president, then I see no need for state Governors..
OK you give them the highest allocation and take the federal projects to your states.who is fooling who?

-Delta, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Rivers and Lagos states received the bulk of federal revenue in the first half of 2019.

- An analysis of FAAC disbursements for H1 2019 showed that the three tiers of government shared a total of N3.842 trillion.

- Here’s a look at how much each of the five Nigerian states received during the period

Five Nigerian states received highest disbursement from the federal allocation in the first half of 2019, according to an analysis by Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI).

The analysis of FAAC disbursements for H1 2019 showed that the three levels of governments shared a total disbursement of N3.842 trillion.

The figure was 2.61% lower than the N3.946 trillion disbursed in the first half of 2018 but 37.79% higher than the N2.788 trillion disbursed in the first half of 2017.

According to the report, the Federal Government (FG) received the highest revenue, followed by state governments, with local governments receiving the lowest revenue.

Out of the N3.842 trillion generated in the first half of 2019, the federal government received N1.599 trillion, representing 41.61% of the total amount disbursed.

Furthermore, the state governments received N1.335 trillion as a share of the national revenue while local governments received N792 billion.

Business Insider SSA looks at five Nigerian states with the highest revenue share within the period:

Delta

H1 2019: N108.7 billion

Akwa Ibom

H1 2019: N 86.12 billion

Rivers

H1 2019: N75.84 billion

] Bayelsa

H1 2019: N66.76 billion

Lagos

H1 2019: N58.1 billion

Bayelsa is always amusing me, the smallest state in population, in LGs and one of the newest receiving bulk of amount every month and still couldn't pay her workers.
Until we collectively join hands together and ask our leaders for accountability we are going no where

What has the fg done for lagos and not done for rivers as well? Federal international airport? Seaport? Fdi is what grow a state and that's where lagos beat every other state. And security is one thing that matters in fdi which is missing in rivers.

The allocation is justified.

What cannot be justified is the work done.

But I thought South East is among the highest oil producing zones. Why is buhari marginalising the SE like this? Or has he forgotten it is the money from SE that is being used to fund Katsina budget? Not fair.

South east don't have oil, south south is the oil merchant!

But that was how u guys were shouting GEJ o.

FG will surely be blamed as long as we practice unitary federal system of govt. If u want FG not to be blamed, we need to change our system of govt to allow states or regions to manage their resources like it is done in UK. That way, no one will blame FG.

The activities of FG affects the entire economy of the entire country. The activities of FG affect the entire security of the country.

U don't know how much permission state govts need before establishing many things in their own state. They need to get permission and clearance from FG.

The activities of FG affect the entire electricity generation in the entire country. The activities of FG affect the fuel price which is extremely important commodity in our country.

FG is what controls nigeria. I can't hold my state govt accountable for security becus he does not have control over security. Even his own security aids can be withdrawn.
