Construction work has gathered momentum on the International Conference Center, Awka.
A recent visit to the construction site raises hope on the likely delivery of the project on schedule.

The Center is likely to become the biggest Conference Center in the South East with a sitting capacity of 5000 people at a time. It is one of the major legacy projects of the Governor Willie Obiano administration.

On completion, it will have a grand entrance foyer with atrium, collapsible grand auditorium, exhibition hall, meeting rooms, green room, workshop/seminar areas for professionals, an expansive parking lot and a magnificent outdoor scenery.

please while building conference centres are fine , t think the Governor should concentraate on economic projects and infrastruture thaat would lead to the development of the economy

conference is good , but i was thinking more about the completion of the international Airport at Oba, the commercialisation of the Onitsha Port that is being delayed with all manner of intrigues and foul play by the Federal Government and the building of land transport terminals in Onitsha , the conference cnetre no doubt would boost tourism and hotel business but before then we need the state to be opened up .

Always sounding incoherent

You come online and be typing rubbish without verifying what's on ground, RCC has resumed work on Onitsha /Awka express way from where they stopped at Awkuzu, they've now starting from two sections, Awkuzu and Amawbia before flyover, I ply the road yesterday to Onitsha, from where they've done it didn't take me upto 5mins to connect to Umuaya with solid road done by RCC, all thanks to Buhari

The said airport us not at Oba but Aguleri.
