Good day guys,please my husband and I submitted our paper application on the 19 of July, and the conference we where invited for starts from the 6 of September ,someone who has earlier submitted for Canadian visa told me processing time was 21 days and we naively submitted ours based on that information,I have been to UK numerous times,I even did my masters there, I have been to Netherlands ,and the USA numerous tines, I Also gave birth to my kids there, so my travel history is good but my husband has just been to Dubai, I was sent a message yesterday that our application was ready for pick up, its not up to the 72 days processing time I saw Here. I'm scared we night been refused, because the date of the conference has passed, please what do you think guys, thanks

Guys i just got an email stating that my processed passport is ready for collection, i summited my application via paper route on 19/07/19 and this email was sent today 09/09/19. I'm nervous cos is not up to 72 days which is the normal days for visa processing. Pls what does this signify?

Hi guys, my cousin who is a Canadian citizen invited me and my mum to his wedding, so I’m asking since he is willing to foot our bills, do we need to show proof of funds? And what documents do I need to submit for my mum, she’s a business woman, her business isn’t registered with CAC yet, apart from her marriage certificate, what other documents does she need to provide.
Another question is can we do biometric same day we submitted because we are coming from outside Lagos, and is online application same as paper route? Please how do I go about the online route if we decide to use it?

I have never done paper before but from what I could read here if you link your application to your online account you will be able to see the decision. I will you all the best

If you have proof of funds then you can show it in addition to the funds your cousin is supporting you with. You can submit account statements, business legders, etc.

My concern is where and how to submit passports. Mum is in DC for 1 month and she has their passports, as we'd prepared for likely submission in the USA. Should she go ahead and dispatch to LA VO through the courier?

Or must she be authorized to do so? Application was done in Nigeria. Should we send email to an authority seeking pernission to submit through LA VO? Which office should we email?

If you know of how a similar case was addressed, please advise.

Apply now from Nigeria, online route, and do your biometrics here too. If approved, you can send in your passport alongside side the approval to the VAC in NY or LA via UPS or USPS, turnaround time should be even less than a week, depending on the workload at the time, a few days more/ two weeks tops....

Someone kindly respond to this. My Mum also has a similar issue. She arrived London the same day her passport Request mail came in. I sent an email to both LDNIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca and lagos.immigration@international.gc.ca. London Office responded within an hour of sending the email, no response from Lagos office yet. The mail from received was not particularly helpful but I told my Mum to just go drop off her Passport at the VAC office in London.

No please. NYSC doesn't qualify. Have 2 approved visas where we have chosen No there without incidence.
