EFCC urge the Government to provide jobs, the rate of kidnapping is skyrocketing. You chase them from fraud with no jobs then what? they pick arms and start kidnapping! They say there is no smoke without fire, EFCC is simply chasing the smoke and letting the fire burn. Let the looting stop! Let the government create jobs, give out loans, provide steady electricity if the youths see 100k monthly jobs yahoo yahoo, kidnapping, and other crimes will die a natural death or reduce by 70%. South African returnees came back to Nigeria and the government is giving them 40k airtime and 9GB internet to do what exactly? They will look for jobs they won't find the next thing na to carry laptop or arms and join the already flooded industry of crimes. God help US!

The EFCC under Magu is doing a great job.

Perhaps they are not particularly going after politicians.

Sincerely, I don't care if they go after politicians because I gave up on Nigeria a long time ago.

They should continue picking up the Yahoo-Yahoo boys

Yes, that's the one that affects me directly.

If anyone says they went into crime because there are no jobs, just tell the person that he is a lazy thing.

Yes, after all, the private sector has created more jobs than the government.

Do the guys making it big in the private sector have two heads?

Most Nigerian youths are lazy and lack creativity!
As well as the leaders lazy and lack creativity. Boys are not smiling which private sector since PMB took over. Hunger never fire you na why you type this story.

Don't mind them. These politicians want to be the only people with money so they can continue to manipulate and intimidate people. Mind you, most people working in Nigeria are underemployed.

Your comment is completely based on sentiments and selfish interests. I used to run my business after school and I know the intense challenges I faced! Running a Business in Nigeria is HARD! From the lark of electricity and the cost of operation down to security. At some point, I began considering sleeping in my office due to security reasons. What about tax? it was on the high side already and I was drowning, I wasn't making sales as much but that didn't stop tax force from rading my business and threatening to loot my shop if I don't pay immediately! Las las robbers finally broke into my shop and catered away with my goods worth millions of naira. Now how am I lazy? is it my fault there is no CCTV installed in the streets of Nigeria? Is it my fault there are no Business loans provided for entrepreneurs in Nigeria? Is it my fault I don't have a godfather in the government to shower me with contracts? I don't have insurance because the insurance company I invited declined to insure my goods due to the risk and location according to them. IF I pick laptop or arms and disturbe your peace you will call me lazy youth abi? This is the story of millions of hard-working Nigerians so shut the hell up! Na condition they make crayfish bend! It starts from our leaders, point your finger at them. If they stop looting our future the youths won't go into crimes, no man is born a theif!

I see a lot of folks here saying govt is not supporting the youths yes we know...but how many of these folks who engage in this illicit act and make money ever set up businesses its always on wasteful spending , frivolities and what not. And when they run down they even go more desperate.

A friend of mine who works with law enforcement told me that US govt is racking up names of suspects who have defrauded their citizens so on the day you arrive at the airport you get picked up.

The days of fraud are over with bvn your money leave a trail and its easy to work on it.

You folks protect your name and reputation. If your name eneter news for fraud and you want to run for public office people would open your file and harras you like the Atiku case...

Say No To ‘Quick Money’, EFCC Urges Nigerian Youths

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has urged Nigerian parents to guide their children and wards against the idea of ‘quick money’, Igbere TV reports.

Acting Chairman of the Commission, Mr Ibrahim Magu gave the advice on Friday when he featured on 'Nagarta' Radio Nigeria, Kaduna, as a special guest.

Magu, who was represented by Head of the EFCC in Kaduna, lamented what he described as the high rate of crimes and internet frauds involving Nigerian youths.

He warned the youth against nurturing the idea of making ‘quick money', saying that the EFCC was watching and would get anyone found wanting at anytime.

The EFCC boss further charged parents and guardians to monitor the activities of their children and wards, “especially as trends show that youth are easy recruits for fraudulent activities.”

My father called me and put a curse in case I ever venture into it. Ever since then I have been scared of even thinking about it not to talk of try it. My respect for that man just skyrocketed.
Parents should advice their children whether religiously or morally. Yahoo won't pay forever and when it stops they go into armed robbery and try to steal the little we have worked for.

You did not carry out due diligence before establishing your business.

Even in western countries, businesses fail.
