Trust me, the larger percentage of students are those whose parents are members of the living faith church...less than 20% are from outside.

I once tell a fellow that I contributed N20 to the building and development of CU,and He said if it's Because of my N20 I start to have a sense of entitlement that He will refund me.
I told him,you can't afford it,not just you but Oyedepo himself can't afford it....
A primary school pikin wey contribute N20 to donate as far back as 1996...
.....the truth us Winners Chapel can afford to run this schools,covenant and Landmark on 100% scholarship...let it be the school for the genius among us...I will contribute a million naira now or more for it to be school that model the best of the best of the next generation...

Do you know the standard and quality of education that is run there for the University to be Ranked Number 1 in West Africa?

Do you know how much it would take for it to run with such quality?

The masses cannot even afford 20,000 a month for 24 hour power supply but they can claim to have contributed to the School because of 100 naira offerings.

Calculate the salaries of the professors are being paid every week there.

Calculate the thousands of dollars being paid to bring in high standard of professors from outside the country.

Calculate how much is being paid in salaries to maintain the buildings and infrastructure.

Calculate how much is being paid to maintain 24 hour light in the school.

Calculate how much has been paid to bring in world class equipment in learning.

Now look at your entire families Net worth and ask yourself whether you can keep covenant running for a month!
With your #20 you feel robbed.

You are a thief, but you don't know it.

Your public universities that are supposed to be operating at a world class standards, what is being done there?

People kept saying Christian university are expensive, been compared to government but we have seen what they have achieved. More so we should investigate what it takes to run a standard private university. But paying lecturers and professors and other staff are not modest if I may say...building infrastructure expenses are not modest too, supply of power are not modest too..thank you

Well, I don't blame Oyedepo, I blame those who continue to go there and drop last pennies.

Convenant University can actually be made cheap without losing standards.

All the owners need is to cut down on personal expenditures. If it takes 1 billion naira to fund Oyedepo's lifestyle in a year, he could cut it down to 20 million so that more brilliant but poor candidates can apply to his school.

Then, the church owners could invest in more lucrative businesses, not for personal gains, but to help more students who are brilliant but are not financially buoyant.

those fees are hweavily subsidised...if not for govt, average fees of a nigeria givt university shouldnt be less than 500k.

I used to, until I visited the school several times during my brother's years of study there. Those buildings are falling apart less than 10years after they were built. Compare that with UI or Unilag where their buildings (the old ones o) look set to stand for another 100 years

Stop saying what you're not sure of bro, I spent years in that school and I can enthusiastically tell you that no structure there is falling apart. The buildings are top notch and constantly maintained

Stop talking nonsense. You don't know anything about the school. Do you know how much a tuition cost in the USA?

Taaaaa. Scam scam scam schools that contracts profs from federal universities to come in and lecture are being ranked over the federals? I severe with couple of students from that school with cgpa of 4.3minimum, those guys got nothing to offer but big big English.

Some faculties in that school have one prof and most federal universities have over 7 profs in minimum. I beg wetin be the standard for the ranking again kwa?

Start your own church, make enough money, build primary schools,secondary schools,universities for the poor, and RUN them for FREE. ITS VERY EASY. Wish you best of luck. The poor will appreciate it,especially Northerners.

In Nigeria, how “hard” your University subjects you to “University life”— inhumane and wicked lecturers, Number of strikes, cultism and school closure, Reading with bush lamp by the roads etc is what determines “best”, once you come through it. And I understand. But according to methodologies of several ranking groups, “best” is determined by teaching quality, research quality, internationalism, collaboration, etc. These are what was looked at and what made Covenant University the best.
