Prettiepearlz:

This has been said over and over again. Your NOC doesn’t have to match with your course of study! Let me say it again, Your course of study doesn’t matter in choosing NOC code. It’s your work experience that matters! As a biology course and lab instructor (in a secondary school, I guess, I may be wrong) YOU WERE/ARE A TEACHER. Forget the microbiologist thingy because if you choose that, your application will be flagged.

Hi thanks for responding. It is my primary NOC (2121), as I currently work as a microbiologist, and I've been doing so for the past two years. I'm also adding my NYSC work experience as a biology teacher, hence the enquiry on whether or not I should use the same NOC code, since it involves biology. What exact code do I use for the NYSC experience, please? I hope this isn't too confusing.

Starting Nov 2, 2019, appointments will be required for biometrics at Visa Application Centers (VACs) in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

No more walk ins from that date

Thanks a lot ...would go for CES

amaya21:
ICES timeline is 20+ weeks. WES is 7 weeks from when documents are accepted (not when received). CES is 12 weeks. There are two other ECA bodies.

The choice is yours.

Why don't you use Secondary School Teacher?
Check the Noc to make sure it falls under A, B or 0.
Then on your Duties, you can now explain you taught Biology and other activities you did in the school.

I stand to be corrected.

For the NYSC , you use teacher , secondary teacher NOC since you taught in a school. Check NOC 4031.

Tanks for the info, ICES takes too long oh jus trying to avoid WES stress. please what of CES hope I wnt need to evaluate my WAEC? Someone told me CES is 7weeks & I only want to evaluate my masters
Pls share any info on CES

Thanks
Lawlar1:

With ICES you do not need to include waec, it costs 200CAD if you have a contact in Canada to receive your report and then scan to you, that is if you are evaluating only one (highest) certificate, you can also request for your official documents from Unilag to be sent by email, so as to save cost and time. In most cases, they do not conduct secondary verification, especially if your transcript was received through unilag's official email address (records@unilag.edu.ng), but the processing period is about 20weeks from the day your official documents are received.

Thank you for this.

For those waiting for PPR, i hope it comes before then so you won't have to book to submit passports.

CES does not require WAEC. As at the last time I checked the processing time, it’s 12 weeks. Search for CES ECA on google and see all necessary info

Amen, although I think appointment is only required for biometrics, which has been the practice is many other countries before now. They didn't mention apointment for passport submission and collection.

Hello everyone,

I've got another question.

Are they different types of medical tests for different VISA?

For example, is the medical test for Canada Student VISA different from PR VISA?

Thank you so much sis, I'll change the code. The issue is that my reference letter from the school says biology course and lab Instructor, not teacher. Does this work too? Also can I send you a copy of this letter, if you could kindly review it for me. Please and thank you.

An instructor is also a teacher so I guess that is fine. You can send a copy. I will be glad to review.

Dear House,

Please I need an urgent advice.

My mother in law wants to assist with a part of POF. In order to reduce documentation, is it advisable she transfers the funds directly to me and I get a gift deed or she sends to my wife, who will in turn transfer to me then get gift deed for her?

Secondly, am planning to put the funds in t-bills, is it advisable I fix the funds separately or I can merge it with my other investment that will mature next week and fix all together?

If anyone has done this before, would appreciate a copy of the gift deed.

Kind response will be appreciated.

Thanks to all the leaders sharing their experiences on this thread. God bless you all.
