What is this one saying? You are an evil person. This thread was not created to pitch igbos vs yoruba but you are pulling that string. What kind of country do some of you even want? I don't understand you at all?

Do u want this country to move forward or not... I am asking you personally.

Bro in as much as I want some form of peace in the south, you have to face the fact here. The average easterner feel some sort of resentment towards the SW, that is evident in everything they always project. Go on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, go anywhere you will feel the resentment.

Where did all this hatred emanate from? Because of 2011 elections that saw Buhari became president? Do you know how much Yorubas voted for Jonathan in 2011 and 2015? Did Nigeria started in 2015?

Why the bleep will the Igbo keep accusing Yorubas of betraying the south when in the actual fact there is no one to betray? What about Azikwe betrayal? What about betrayal of Awolowo by voting Shagari? The betrayal of MKO by Igbos?

Have you ever seen the Yorubas point fingers and call the Igbos betrayal for voting who they wish they wanted. But since 2015 election that saw Buhari winning SW with a paltry 56% edge made the SE’ners wild with speech of how Yorubas betrayed the south. Which south loyalty exists in the first place if I may ask.

What you’re tryna do is like dipping a needle in an ocean, to bring the Yorubas and Igbos together in terms of politics should be termed one of the most difficult task in the world. Since 1960, we’ve had different ideologies and voted differently so why the bleep do people keep saying southern unity or so.

If you check Nigeria pattern, the Igbos have aligned most with the northerners while the Yoruba spent a lot of years in the opposition coz Awo died not fulfilling the dream of putting the Yorubas in the limelight.

It’s just absurd to keep claiming southern unity with you guys, which unity? Whose loyalty? Why should southwest swear allegiance to the SE ? Why not the other way round?do you even know what happened to the SW during Jonathan Government? How we were marginalized? How we weren’t part of the first four in Nigeria.

The North being powerful is a MYTH... You can believe whatever you want.

Most of you who think they are so powerful do not pay attention to the kind of moves they make when they feel threatened. I thought some persons gave an ultimatum over RUGA? why hasn't their plan carried out? I know many of you have forgotten about that threat and ultimatum. They could not do anything because the entire SOUTH was united against their plans.

I have read from Nairaland to Twitter the numerous mockery that is trailing Prof Osibanjo's recent travails.

Personally, this is unfair on a person like him and I will give you my reason.

Make no mistake, the reason for his recent attack by whomever is because of the few good moves he made as acting president.

How can you all forget so soon that this man, during his FIRST hand over , united the entire South WITHIN 72 HOURS of being handed to? Just how can you all. This is unfair.

Do you know that Buhari's people didn't like that?

Because of just that alone, they warned him, which is the reason for his withdrawal during his second handover and then came the relegation to sending him on irrelevant errands, a whole SAN, a VP, something that has never been done before.

I know some persons will want to mouth over the immediate paragraph, but let me ask you: Can you subject a Northerner to same if the table was turned?

You all will better start using your stupid brains.

Osibanjo does not deserve this kind of treatment he is currently getting because he did the little he could within the briefest window he could get.

Do not forget he was the one that sacked DSS boss laying siege on Senate and elected a Southerner to replace him but what did Buhari do when he got back? He replaced with a Northerner and you think they liked what Osibanjo did there?

Listen up, irrespective of our political differences in the South, we must learn to protect our own when it matter most.

You will not find those Northerners who usually join South West to attack their fellow Southerners when it favours them on an issue like this and we all know why...

Osibanjo does not deserve this kind of mockery... but I know the South have been cursed never to unite and one of the culprit is their "education"
I hope u were given something to buy gala & eat for this thrash

Seems a lot of you don’t understand what is at stake and the kind of power play going on. Like I’ve always said, the myth that the north cannot be defeated will be nullified in 2023.

There is only one thing I know and the fact is that even if the North retain power in 2023, anything it’s coming to the South it will still be the SW. the reason is simple and it’s evident judging by Nigeria history post civil war.

The Igbos can try all they can to solicit for northern alliance in 2023 like they’ve always do pre-2015, but even if an Igbo man is the senate president, house of rep, or SSG, they will never be supported as a president by the North.

Also a fact is that the APC will field a South westerner in 2023 no matter what, whether the Northerner in PDP will defeat the APC or not should be left to the voters and rigging machinery of the party in power.

I keep saying for SW to retain the presidency, they need to front Fashola/El-Rufai, if APC make the mistake of fielding Osinbajo thinking the SE will vote for him because he is a Christian, then they are in for the worst mistake of their life.

Delusion

Osinbanjo messed up but we shouldn't allow the Fulani idiots to intimidate him.

The dude really tried as Acting President. We all saw what he is capable of.

It is just a pity he can never rule this country. Take it or leave it, SW 2023 cannot happen

I understand you... Igbos would have preferred any other Northerner than Buhari... Was YaraduA an igbo man or a Yoruba man?

The anger from the East is not even the way you guys see it... Are igbos not marrying yoruba since 2015 till now? Davido Don give chioma belle and they are about to wed. Peter married Lola...

The anger from the East is because you chose someone that destroyed this country, every sector and everything built since 99.

The rage will not have been as high as this if the Buhari you chose have been doing well.

The first time I went to the Border... Yes, the border that was closed recently, the only thing I noticed is that I didn't see any South Westerner there, not a single one.. I shared my experience on Facebook that day and people were laughing at me as a JJC. They told me it has always been like that. That was early this year though. How does that make you feel?

Recently Adesina was hailed as presidential by the same igbos you are accusing of hating you. I even created a thread on it. From Facebook to twitter, they celebrated Adesina. Is Adesina an igbo man?

The idea that Igbos hate yoruba is a pure myth... Igbos hate failure and anybody that promotes such. My fellow igbo brother still attacked me today because he is aware I ignorantly supported Buhari in 2015 and till date he still attacking me. That is just igbos for you...

The truth is there could have been other Northerners, at least not all of them a religious and ethnic bigot, that would not have sent us to the state we currently at.

Igbos are angry because they are traders and business people. BUHARI has affected their trades.

We need to tell ourselves the truth.

Op u are delusional to think that the yorubas see themselves as south. South is only SE and SS. The yorubas see themselves as west and they are majority moslems. Nothing like south,is either south south, south east and west.

Am from delta state,we south south are ever ready to support yorubas the way they supported GEJ in 2015.
this one is not in doubt but the issue is that even if you are truly from south south, these people do not believe you. They feel it's an igbo person behind this your moniker... In fact they always claim the South South has moved on, the south south does not play bitter politics like igbos...

It is that bad that igbos have to be accused so often.

We need to tell ourselves the truth.
While you may be right in some of your assertions, there are some places you got some things wrong.

Firstly, you should understand the Yorubas and our ideological mindset. We play the highest form of advance democracy in Nigeria even since the time of the Awolowo. The Yorubas even amongst themselves will always share different political mindset and that always reflect from the votes in the SW since 1999. SW have evolved from AD, PDP, APC. What this means is that the Yorubas will always be liberal and most times have divergent views over issue of democracy even amongst themselves.

For the Igbos not voting Buhari coz of his antecedents or the fact that they think he’s an Islamic fanatic, that’s not true bro. The SE already swore their loyalty to the PDP and no matter who PDP produces, they will support the person will all their minds.

The SE are the one fronting for Atiku presently, but where is the SE when Atiku was on the ballot in 2007? Why did they vote for Yar’adua instead? Did you even know Yar’adua then before OBJ brought him to the limelight? Now the SE are projecting Atiku as the most destabilized Northerner now simply because they want to wrestle power from the APC. How many votes did Atiku got in the SE in 2007 if truly you guys liked him like you have always projected?

Lol, the Adesina praise online by the Easterners is just a way to get back at Buhari, they don’t love him and please don’t try to be economical with the truth. Adesina will not get 50000 votes in the SE if he contest under any party except PDP. Let’s stop deceiving ourselves.

I don’t know why you all keep blaming the Yorubas for 2015, I just can’t fathom that. The vote is like 56-44% in favor of Buhari even with the fact that Boko haram is wreaking Havoc then and Jonathan supervised the most corrupt government by not checkmating his comrades when they loot without honor. The most sensible thing for anybody to do in 2015 is to vote Jonathan out, if Igbos truly want a progressive nation everyone should have voted Jonathan out.

The only regret is the fact that Buhari was voted back in 2019 during the last election, even at that you can see that Atiku won 2 states in SW even with an Obi on the ballot at the expense of Osinbajo.

The Igbos will vote PDP even if a devil is the presidential candidate because their loyalty is to that party and they always thought their interest will be protected in PDP. One would have asked why the PDP did not deem it fit to give the Igbo man the presidential ticket since 1999? Have you ever wondered why? Why did Obasanjo had to take a SS(Jonathan) as VP instead of the SE?

For the Yorubas and the Igbos to be on the same side of political ideology, we need to first tell ourselves the truth. The kind of alliance needs to be defined honestly. I don’t have any problem with an Igbo man being president and I mean this from the depth of my heart, infact I will prefer Dave Umahi to be president coz that man is intelligent.

But let’s be realistic, even if Tinubu and the SW caucus in APC are willing to dash Igbo the presidency, can you please tell me the modalities to employ going by the current political configuration in Nigeria.

I’m asking you as a friend, if the Yorubas are willing to vote for a SE’ner, what modalities do you think both tribe can follow to make it a success?

I could not convince an igbo company that was suppose to come to Lagos as expansion of the company from 3 Generation away.. That is job losses for a lot of lagosians, from surveyor, to architect, to bricklayer, to carpenters, to tilers, to electricians, painters and lots more...

I didn't even know someone else was experiencing same until he revealed how his real estate business have been affected because igbos are not buying as much property like they used to.

Bro this is where you are getting it wrong, what do you mean by the Yorubas are majorly Muslims? You think the Yorubas care about division by religion? We’ve always been one indivisible entity.

Why you guys don’t Remember the Yorubas are at the forefront during 2011 fronting for Jonathan when the cabals are trying to deny him his right still remains a mystery to me. Do you know that Jonathan won the SW in 2011 even with the fact that Tinubu was ACN? Do you know Tinubu worked for Jonathan in 2011? What did Jonathan paid Tinubu and the SW caucus back with?

You guys should know politics is about protecting people’s interest, If you see that your interest in waning under a certain government , the best thing to do is to switch alliance to where you think your interest can be protected. That is what is called Democracy.

I will never blame the SE or say they are betrayal if they chose to vote for the North in 2023, it’s democracy and they thought that is where their interest lies. What I just hate is people trying to blackmail other people under the pretext of loyalty to a southern cause.

You spoke about the SE/SS forming alliance against the SW, but I want you to always draw distinction between the Igbo SS’ner and the rest of the Union. We have Ibibio, Edo, Uhrobo, Itsekiri, etc.

Even Bayelsa, Edo, Delta have some APC elected representatives and those states already moved past 2015. But you guys have clutched to the straw of 2015 defeat of Jonathan and one would wonder why you chose to cry more than the bereaved. Everytime you always bring the fact that Jonathan was not voted in 2015 as the betrayal of the SW. Did Nigeria started in 2015??

Anyway i like your opening. I agree the power accorded North is mythical and ive written personally about this many times. North is what we make it, nothing special. I also like how you concluded, what we call education is nothing more than ability to read and write and interprwte but in actuality we are not brighter than North. They act what they know, we in South talk what we know. Talking doesnt get result, action does. Thats why they have an edge. If we will act what we know, their mythical make belief power will be broken.

Don't decieve yourself North will always be the backbone of Nigerian politics, even if a southerner becomes president he will still be a puppet to the Northern cabals because he will try by all means to please the North.

Who cares if your kinsmen don’t site his company in Lagos? Do you need Lagos or Lagos needs you? Even Dangote with his billion dollar investment in Lagos is not this boastful and one would wonder why a whole people can have the same configuration of thinking.

What kind is statement is this? “Tinubu sowed an ethnic politics”? An igbo man gave up his plane to return Nigerians from SA with your yoruba brothers as the highest returnees as stats later showed while irritants like you claimed the igbos were the ones more over there.

Stupid fool is quoting bible... make Ogun scatter you wherever you are.

I won’t enter the mud with you. I don’t need to resort to cursing to drive my point. I will just leave you with these bible verses.

You first hid under seeking alliance with the Yorubas but a little pressure brought out your true self. If I also return the curse, it’ll just be stupid on my own part coz why do I need to curse an anonymous person online. It’s just absurd!

Where were you when Otedola spent 36.6million on former eagles coach Christian Chukwu treatment?

https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/otedola-spends-n36-6m-on-chukwus-treatment/amp/

Where were you when Otedola spent millions on Sadiq Daba’s treatment and other numerous thing an average Yoruba philanthropist have done?

I will reiterate it that you’re just doing like a village boy that came to the city for once, it’s like a bush boy trying to flaunt little gains.

What’s my own if your Igbo friend helped your Yoruba friend? Hasn’t that happened the other way round before? How does this thread even relates to telling your personal stories? Should I start telling my personal stories also or encounter with Igbos?

Psalm 109:17:
He also loved cursing, so it came to him; And he did not delight in blessing, so it was far from him.

Genesis 12:3:
And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed."

motherforker, I do not have any problem with Otedolar... I have a problem with you. You see me? I do not use the same brush to paint everyone... I have never done it. As far this thread is concerned, you are the tribalist here because you STARTED it, most of you are a cancer in the South, a disease that should be cut off... yes, that is what people like you are. Remember what I called you earlier? An evil person... a devil... ESU

You don’t need to resort to cursing me, it’s just ridiculous. Not that I can’t curse back or try to get confrontational, but why would I do that to an anonymous person, it’s just like a waste of energy.

You’ve been all around the thread gallivanting about your Igbo friend helping the Yorubas showing the symptoms of low self esteem and one would wonder the rationale behind that sudden shift.

Should I also start listing my encounters with Igbos? Should I tell you about my company and the people working under me in Akure? Should I tell you about the non-bank MFI I co-own in Akure? Should I tell you the name of the Igbo guy that’s part of my employee there? I swear on God all I’m saying is true.

You see I did not try to elevate myself for some online gratification but you keep making me try to talk by listing all the irrelevant personal history of where you thought the Igbos helped the Yorubas.

I’m asking you as a friend, if the Yorubas are willing to vote for a SE’ner, what modalities do you think both tribe can follow to make it a success?
you put my thoughts in words. thanks

I know bro but it was why I called him an evil person in my reply earlier which made him tone down his aggression but he could not tame his hatred, reason why towards the end of the post u quoted, his revolt rared its head again.

I could not convince an igbo company that was suppose to come to Lagos as expansion of the company from 3 Generation away.. They needed 30 hectares of land but due to the kind of politics Tinubu have bee sowing, plus things he did to igbos during the election, they refused to come.

Why aren't they buying? The ethnic politics Tinubu has sown.
Brotherly what did Tinubu do to Igbos ooo, this is how you guys spread falsehood. there are many Igbo businesses thriving in Lagos and many Igbo billionaires. Haba! All Yorubas want is to keep control of Lagos nothing more, nothing less, they're not after anybody's business.

Dude, You can't compare those ones someone who has spent all his years in the East, a 3 generation company and trying to expand towards the South.

The decision to expand down South West was made close to the election period and reports of how Igbos in Lagos were treated during that election period were heard far and wide. Igbos were disenfranchise in Lagos, especially in Igbo dominated regions. We saw Tinubu's wife made some snide comment on an igbo vendor captured in a video. search nairaland and you will find it... Who made the popular "Is Evans a herdsmen"? Who sent thugs to attack Igbo traders at Oshodi?, who sent thugs after igbo voters.

You can deny all you want... but the news is out there for all to read...

Everybody is different and react differently. The fact that there are igbo billionaires in Lagos does not mean those ones in the East see things like others in Lagis. I was even using those ones in Lagos like Coscharis and co to convince them like you stated but dude said they are still watching.

Some of you think I am pained by this because I am igbo... nope, I am angry because a lot of people would benefit from such investment.

Do you know how many investors have refused to step their feet into Nigeria because of the way things are? We have Chinese, indians and lebanese but do you know the amount that would have come to NIgeria had we had a stable economy?

Yes, there are igbo business men in Lagos who have SPEND DECADES in Lagos but we are talking about a company owned by someone who has spent all their business years in the East. Both are not same. It is like the case of Nigerians born here and those born in foreign lands... they are Nigerians by heritage but their worldviews and perspective can never be the same... Those igbos in the East hold a different view to Nigeria's existence to most Igbos who spend virtually all their years in Lagos.

Even Obasanjo did not do what Tinubu has done... and nobody is taking your Lagos from you.

I'm not from Lagos but I'm just telling you everything is just power play, as long as Yorubas (Tinubu faction) keep control of Lagos nobody's business is threatened, the truth is that the Igbos are the current threat to Tinubu's dominance, that's why he broke the bank and empowered his thugs to ensure victory for APC. It'll be an insult for APC to lose presidential in Lagos and you know it.

It is just politics.

tah... You just came here to amplify the Northern supremacy. If others refused to play games with you or agree with you, there is nothing you can do about it.

North only appear to have that power because there is no unity in the South QED... And because there are accomplice.. Why didn't Buhari win all his previous elections until South West and Middle belt decide to back him up?

You can not achieve your aims Alone...

You still dont get me did you?

Is not like Buhari is the supreme leader of Northern Nigeria, his serial loosing doesn't concern us because whether he win or not we will still be at the peak of power. A simple question can you ever rule Nigeria without the Northerners? No.

FYI North has more solid foundation and has more stakeholders in PDP than any other party, APC is more like a Yoruba party because they are the majority, and quite alright they helped us brought Buhari to Power with a mutual agreement and the agreement is still in play.
Any major twist from them will lead to abolishment of the agreement there by making the North to go back to it's strong base which is PDP. BTW we have nothing to loose we are just like sea of sand with an endless sight you can't move forward without going through the sea of sand.

As someone said earlier education has done more harm than good to you southners, majority of you people already tasted the nectar of knowledge and your eyes are wide open, you have no one to checkmate you, which is entirely different with us here we have people that we will checkmate we have people that will not question us we have people that if we throw them off the balance they will still remain loyal.

Your kind sold our edge to the North in 2015... If not for that betrayal Power would have remained with us or Naija wouda divided to pieces.
