Thanks for the input. It seems a sedan is a not an option here. But is just that am budget constraint.

I think the closest option is a Honda CR-V 04/05 for now.

I will rate the CRV here for popularity, spare part availability, easy technician know how and dependability. You can also upgrade the CRV dash to DVD nav, it is also available in Manual transmission

Toyota Corolla is a citizen, it's every 1st time car owner choice downside is theft and cost of acquiring it.

Honda Civic is also a good choice and it has the top choice in interior and design, not boring or bland but also a reliable car non the less.

Honda City uses 1.3 or 1.5L engine most fuel efficient of the lot it is fitted with CVT or manual transmission, if you like fish then definitely you will like the city as it looks like bonga fish or tilapia with that design.

All the cars listed are very good it's left for you to decide which is more appealing to you and easy on your pocket

it is available in both auto and Manual, some of us still prefer manual transmission to automatic. the automatic is easy to get than manual.

Buy the 2010 if you can afford it. 2007 - 2009 are prone to oil burn.
