Well people living in badagry axis will never forgive ambode for abandoning that road for 4 years, if only he continued and didnt stop, he at least that road would be done to Agbara by now.

The CCECC contractors have started work again lets see and hope sanwoolu will finish it to okoko like promised and then we can rest.

That Badagry road is the major grouse I have with that man.

Years back, they distressed our ears with 'mega city". After a lot of them traveled out and saw what mega cities looked like, the acronym was abandoned.
Lagos is s big mess. Cursed by myopic and selfish leaders.
You can't access anywhere in lagos without hitch. I mean, no single place. From Lekki to the Airport should be an hour or less drive but you would be lucky to escape it in 4 hours. From Iyana ipaja to Oshodi is as chaotic as hell can be. From Ojota to Oshodi, a journey of less than 20 minutes can take you between 1: 30 mins to 2 Hours.
From Apapa to any place in Lagos is the worst experience you wouldn't like to go through.
Those living at Okoko, Badadgry ,Eba, Alaba are now under a perpetual calamity. Their level of suffering depends on their destination.
Those living around ejigbo, igondo etc, your case is forgotten.
The citizens didn't help matters. Lagosians are known to hype and glorify their myopic governors even when it was obvious the governors are working against the citizens.
Some of the roads that were accessible under fashola administration have been blocked and abandoned by contractors that worked for Ambode administration.
Going by the look of things, the present administration, who spent her 100 days in office denying her campaign promises, has nothing to offer to Lagosians.
So the worst days are coming .
Lagosians will still votes for burdillion money oooo.

I have been living in Abia since 1985 when I returned from Benin City. Iife is good in Abia , I pay 126k for a newly built 2 bedroom flat with borehole. My okada riding neighbour and and another one a mason both live in new flats with their families. And this is just a T - junction surburd far from the state capital. Some of the new multi story blocks of flat in this small community can rival the best in Abuja . The small community is as busy as anthill.
Why would anyone leave here for the slums in the SW.
Ask your brothers that are overpoulating SW every day in their God is Good Motors. If Abia or the entire SE is not shit hole, no igbo man would be in SW to make ends meet.

What's baffling is how the suffering masses of Lagos state hail the state government for doing nothing. They speak about Lagos state as if it's in heaven but when you eventually visit Lagos, you ll be shocked by the level of chaos and decadence in the state. I think lagosians re used to chaos and ve come to love it

look at Abia state and other east States in this 21 century but yet you people are worried about another man's land. only God know when una won get sense
This is the reason the politicians get away with impunity... Why would you say such a horrible thing on such a wonderful thread...

They would have swong into action in Lagos state because of this thread if not for your comment... This your comment maintains the status quo and suffering of all lagosians...

I pity you

you don't mean it, if Lagos is a curse with their leader then the remaining of Nigeria leader are keeping their people in hell fire then, go to Delta, come to Abia, IMO, Bauchi, ondo then we can relate don't just sit in Lagos and conclude.

Why must only criminals be selected to rule Lagos? It started from Tinubu who virtually stole the state blind during his two terms and handed over to Fashola who made sure he left the state bare of any good thing. Ambode wanted to work for the people but the old bad man from bourdillion bribed the people with two bullion vans to vote against their conscience.

Lagos will prefer to be ruled by an agboro like MC Oluomo than to get a quality governor who can govern the state without hate and crime in his mind.
It will be a great blessing to even have someone as MC Oluomo in one of your poverty stricken, and Okija laden evil forest SE states.
You're happy to migrate to SW Lagos and enjoy all the comforts of living in a mega city, rather than staying put and develop your erosion ravaged community.
Lagos with the visionary leaders had provided an enabling environment for your comforts and fellow ingrates, and one expects you to reciprocate the good gestures by being civil.
Unfortunately, you're happy to bite the fingers that feeds you !
Re: Lagos State Cursed With "Visionless" Governors by Goalnaldo(m): 10:55am On Sep 21, 2019
What do you expect from a governor that denied his campaign promises?? 90% of our governors are clueless to say the truth but what have we contributed as citizens to make this country better. Recently the youths in my street teamed up to repair port holes in the road in front of my house. Its not everything we have to wait for the government to do.

The truth is the people who helped develop and expand Lagos are not celebrated because people have labeled them People like Marwah, Tinubu, Ambode and now Sanwo Olu we label call them unprintable names but at the end they did something or are doing something positive for Lagos. The only thing I am a bit weary about is Eko Atlantic because the mainland still needs an upgrade and the sea levels are rising.

You can’t just work with people like you it’s a typical mentality when they can’t beat you at your game they call you names
Sir, please stop trying too hard to be politically correct. This is neither the time, nor avenue for that.

The Lagos you think is developed or expanded is actually a far cry from what it should be, looking at what they make yearly in revenue.

This really made me laugh hard grin grin grin

What I still don't understand is the reason why Ambode abandoned the Mile 2 - Badagry bridge that Fashola started, and why Sanwo Olu has also decided to abandon some projects Amode started before he left. Even if they are all having rifts, can't they just put those shits aside and govern us well
Answer to your "Why" is that
1. Fashola has taken full payment of Mile 2 - Badagry bridge from the Treasury.
2. The project Sanwo-Olu abandoned, Ambode has gotten full payment on those projects.

But we Nigerian, if a present Governor wants to probe his predecessor, it is the same you that will be screaming.

Fashola's delivery in 8 years is far better than the combined 20 years performance of all the SE governors. If you can't see ho Lagos has been improving over the years, return to your village in Abia or wherever.
Name one Fashola legacy in 8 years. He has none!!! The only legacy he has is debt of N1 Trillion yet Lagos does not have tap water or good roads.

Lagos is glorified state ruled by reckless Tinubu and his hand picked boys, Fashola exempted.
The current governor, I've forgotten his name self, can someone remind his name?? grin grin......has been elected to fail since may 29....
I don't know why Lagos state governors are so vision less with their level of education and achievements.... It's shameful

Forget sentiment and as far as lagos in concern,AMBODE is one of the most useless governors lagos has ever produced.he only concentrated on Epe axis and forgot all other part of Lagos, while squandering money on his numerous mistresses including Aigbe.

One of the state in Nigeria that has good road network is Akwa Ibom state.
I give it to the past government, they really tried.

I repeat Orji Uzor Kalu should NEVER be mentioned when talking of governors with vision!
Is it the nepotism, corruption or general ineptitude his governance we should talk about?
The pitiable fact is that he is master of propaganda which he wields through his media organisation which he funded from looted Abian state funds.
It was through this propaganda and electoral malpractices that he has once again hoodwinked Abia state and ended up as a senator. undecided

Well considering how close Ogun state is to Lagos and how the state and its residents have a lot to gain if only the government can lure in companies from Lagos and build housing estates. I believe Ogun state is worst of them all. All states in Nigeria aside the Niger delta states
Among all the Niger deltan states, only Akwa Ibom and to an extent Edo have had a taste of visionary leaders, the rest are failures, with Delta & Cross River being the worst. Actually, Delta is the worst!.
