bankyh1905:
There's a way to register a profile which doesn't run into ineligibility issues. You start by generating a personal reference code (PRC) through this link http://onlineservices-servicesenligne.cic.gc.ca/eapp/eapp.do This helps you determine eligibility.

If by any chance that link is broken, follow these steps:
1. Visit https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/submit-profile.html
2. On the displayed page, scroll down and click on "Find out if you're eligible".
3. On the next page, click on "Check your eligibility".
The start filling the questionnaire.

When you're done filling the questionnaire, copy the PRC (at this point, you should be able to read that it appears you're eligible) and proceed to sign up for a GC Key. You'll start by creating a username and in the end, you'll have to paste the PRC and proceed. The forms would have been pre-filled with the information you supplied in the questionnaire. You can then fill in the gaps and complete all the other forms.

It's important that you let the POF be more the the required amount. While filling the questionnaire, you'll have to choose a range at first. The specific amount will be filled in when you sign up for GC key.

I hope this helps.

PS: I know this works because I was on the phone with a friend who ran into the same problem, doing this, for over an hour yesterday.

Thanks Bankhy. I have my own profile that I created and others whom I've helped along the way. This one beats me! I can't see why it's returning ineligible.

Experience: 3yrs 2 months: Audit/Accounting - range selected is 2 to 3 yrs
Age: 29
Married: Family of 3
POF: 19600, required is 19390 or so
IELTS: LSRW, 8,7,7.5,7 CLB9
ECA: Two or More degrees _ BSc, ND
NOC: 1311 - Accounting Technician
When CRS was checked it was 460
Find out eligibility process: You appear to be eligible

After linking to GCKey - returns as profile ineligible.

Here we are.. wondering what went wrong.

Try again using exact funds quoted by cic for the number of your family

That would be less than what I quoted. Its better higher because of future fx fluctuations.

Good morning beautiful people. A quick enquiry please! So I have listed on my Post ITA document checklist "Proof of relationship". It's difficult to tell if this is meant to be proof of my relationship with my husband or my family members (parents and siblings). When I hit the question mark right on the side, it stated birth certificate, marriage certificate. It's really confusing because marriage certificate is also listed as one of the required documents. Has anyone else experienced this as well? I would appreciate your kind suggestions based on the same experience as mine. Thanks guys

People....please I desperately need help with this!!!!

Hello everyone,

I’ve got a quick question.

Although I haven’t gotten ITA yet, I’m expecting it end October as my husband is to write ielts on October 12.

I already want to book an appointment for my medical, what is the best way to go about it?

Call, email or physically go there?

I’ll appreciate your recommendations based on experience. Thank you

Are you claiming points from siblings or family members? I believe this is what the proof of relationship placeholder is usually for.

Please do not book for medicals yet. I pray that you will receive your ITA soon, but wait for it before trying to work on medicals. If possible schedule your appointment close to the date you hope to submit your final application. I stand to be corrected, I don't know much but it's the little I've learnt about medicals. This is where I'm suspecting. Although I checked well and as 1311 it falls around level B because it's 13xx and that's absolutely represented on the fsw eligible occupations.

I just spoke with a colleague and also take a cue from the response of Bankyh that also responded earlier that someone has same issue yesterday that it might be a system glitch.

I hopefully believe that it's a glitch. Every variable seems perfect.

I'd try later in the evening and give the status.

Thanks.

Hello guys,

Please someone help a brother....any advise is highly welcome.

I’ve a uk masters degree WES verified
Preparing to write IELTS next month
However, during my stay in the uk, I worked as a steward at events especially at stadia for different football club and as such had to undergo some training which resulted to the attached certification.

My question now as I can see that the certification is regulated by Ofqual and Cea accreditation, can this certification fetch me some point in this quest?
If yes, how best can I explore that option

my friend has same issue. She chose aunt as relative. And it brought out that proof of relationship. Relative contributes points towards the 67/100 eligibility grid. She later took it out

you have a masters only phd can fetch more points.those things you posted up there cannot also be evaluated by wes or anyone. So it has no bearing on EE

I am in a dilemma right now with my eca. I paid my tutor for my wes and he filled my form with errors in it. The worst part is my dashboard keeps changing from "we are reviewing your documents" to "status on hold, they are yet to receive payment" . If i inform my tutor, he will tell me it is the fault from the bank, and it was rectified after some days. Now the same thing happened. Should i start a fresh application, as this eca is delaying me. I have my ielts ready with crs of 466.

Also, I noticed the request for education transcripts on the checklist. Could this be because I have an ongoing/incomplete Canadian M.Sc. degree? But then it says "transcripts", which is really weird. I already have education certificates listed on the checklist. This Post ITA checklist just tire me, honestly.

Shybae:
Hi all,
I know you've all come a long way & I'm just starting out trying to apply.
I'm 32, female, married, 2kids, I understand I will be P.A cos hubby is 38. We both working, both have MSc

Would like to know,
1.) Must hubby do IELTS too?
2.) We want to use WES to evaluate our credentials, is it better? If not which can we use?
3.) Pls can someone help me with the steps?

Any other important info will be highly appreciated.
Pls don't pass by. Thanks.

Here you go:
Step 1: Take IELTS and attain CLB 9 (viz: band score of 8777 in LRWS)

CLB 9 gives candidates additional language points boost of 50–60 points. If you are able to reach the score of 440+ without CLB 9, that is fine too.

Cost - 75000 for British council and 68,000 for IDP/MOD every time you take IELTS.

Step 2: Get your ECA done (6–8 weeks)

ECA is Education Credential Assessment. It is done by multiple organisations (WES is one of them) and provides you the Canadian equivalent degree assessment of your native country education.

Cost - Approx 285 CAD. (220 CAD Fee + 85 CAD International Delivery for WES report)

Step 3: Create EE profile on CIC website with your attained IELTS score and ECA

Making a profile enters you in the pool of candidates waiting for the ITA (Invitation to Apply). Make sure all the information mentioned in the profile is accurate as you will be asked to provide proof of all that information once you are selected.

Cost - 0

Step 4: Wait for the draw to reach your score and receive ITA afterwards

The ROI (Rounds of Invitation) happens every 2 weeks. The Canadian govt declares the min cut off score of the EE profile and all the candidates having that score or score more than it will get ITA. The score varies and is tweaked to meet the usual 3500–3500 applicants quota per ROI.

Cost - 0

Step 5: Post ITA, you get 2 months to submit your documents

After candidates receive ITA, they are supposed to provide documents and proofs of all the information mentioned in their profile along with few others. The documents/information needed from the candidates are:

Scan of Travel Document (Passport) of all applicants and visa stamp pages
Digital Photograph of all applicants
Proof of Employment of primary applicant
Proof of Funds of primary applicant
Proof of Medical of all applicants
Proof of Education & IELTS as applicable
Police Clearance Certificate (From all countries where you have resided for 6 months or more) of all applicants
Cost varies as Medical cost, PCC fees, Notarization fees etc varies as per the country. Ideally, all expenses should be covered within 300–350 CAD per applicant.
Police certificate in Nigeria: https://www.gateway.ng/Nigeria-Police-Report

Step 6: Submit documents, pay Immigration Fee and wait for the PPR (PassPort Request - For stamping)

After submitting the documents and paying the Immigration fees, the Canadian Immigration officers verify the documents and information provided. This generally takes 2–6 months depending on the application type, countries a person has resided in and most importantly, the immigration visa office where the application has been sent for processing and how much applications' backlog is there.

visa office processing time is usually 6 months, though it could take less time to process and verify the submitted documents, sometimes even more!

Cost - 1050 CAD x No. of Applicants in the application for PA and spouse and $150 per child

Step 7: PPR received. Submit Passport and get Canada CoPR (Confirmation of PR)

Once the documents are verified, candidates are intimated about the result of their application via mail. On successful processing, candidates are required to submit the passports of all the applicants for the Visa Stamping and CoPR. Passport is being sent by VFS Global and would cost around 30 CAD per passport. The stamped passport is returned to the designated address within 2 weeks along with 2 copies of CoPR.

Cost - Approx 30 CAD x No. of Applicants

Step 8: Reach Canada on CoPR and apply for PR card

Applicants are supposed to travel to Canada within the tenure mentioned on the stamped visa. The tenure is generally till the time passport is valid or till medical proof is valid, whichever is earlier. In any case, visa will not be for more than 1 year.

Applicants are supposed to plan their travel, temporary or permanent migration, to Canada within the Visa timelines and submit one copy of CoPR at the time of landing. The other copy is stamped and returned.

Submitting CoPR means that Candidates have successfully landed in Canada and this in turn initiates the PR

card application for each applicant.

Cost - Travel Cost of each applicant

Step 9: Receive PR card (2–3 months)

Official PR Card processing time is 62–65 days and the PR card will be couriered to the address given by the applicants at the time of their landing. The address has to be a Canadian address.

PR Card will be delivered to the address within 50–80 days. In case you have performed soft landing (temporary migration) just to fulfill the landing formalities before the Visa expires, you can request any friend coming to your native country to bring along your PR card or you can apply for PR travel document from your home country next time you want to go to canada without having PR card.

PR cards are not couriered outside Canada and have to be delivered in person in such scenarios.

Step 10: You are Canadian PR. Enjoy!

Once you have your PR card, you are officially a Canadian PR. Have fun!

PR card is provided with validity of 5 years. A person is suppose to live in Canada for 730 days in consecutive 5 years to continue his/her PR card for next 5 years after the expiry.

If a person has stayed in Canada for more than 1095 days in consecutive 5 years, he/she is eligible to apply for Canadian citizenship.

Some Acronyms Frequently Used in this post & during Visa Processing:

CLB - Canadian Language Benchmark
ECA - Education Credential Assessment
EE - Express Entry
ROI - Round of Invitations
ITA - Invitation to Apply
CoPR - Confirmation of Permanent Residency
PPR - Passport Request
PR - Permanent Resident (Residency)

All the best!
