40 what? You must be dreaming, that road will not last more than one year before it will begin to fail, there are so many engineering errors.
Their intention is good but the way they are going about it is wrong.

The Apapa-Wharf road done with same method have started failing because of the reaction of the cement surface with dirts/gabbage poured on the road and acidic rain.

The Engineers are either ignorant of their mistake or they are trying to cut cost.

Similar type of road constructed in Lagos and some swampy South South states by Julius Berger over 30yrs ago are still standing strong despite abuse by it's users.

Who cares who is or not doing the job as long as they do a good job.

Construction is privately funded and if Dangote feels like awarding contract or giving their money to Hitech, it's their business and their money.

Asphalt is meant to go on top of the cement, cement will react to the element and fail.

u might be right , but the machines doing road seal were all written Dangote , notice the big machines at work there , I didn't see hi-tech on any of them ,

Lies, that road road won't last more than three years, go and check Apapa-Wharf road constructed by Dangote with same materials and come back and edit your post.
Apapa-Wharf road constructed by same contractor with same materials is already having cracks, bumps and small pockets of potholes.

The ways roads are done in Nigeria are the main reason wh have craap roads in Nigeria.I was saying teh best way to creat a long lasting road is by putting concrete and cement together strengthened with roads and covered with asphalt, this is the way to go. This is how roads are built around the world!. You put sand on ground compressed and lay bare asphalt on it and think it won't wash away really?
