Lord of the movies and tv thread.

Greetings.

P.s what's your take on peak blinders and righteous gemstones.

I've seen raves here and will probably start them tonight.

Worth it?

Peaky blinders should be up to season 4 or 4
5 by now

Peaky fookin Blinders is one the best thing on TV atm. Every season ups the ante... shit_ keeps getting better and better. Season finale of season 5 airs today at 3pm (9pm West African time).

I'm keeping tabs on The Righteous Gemstones. The synopsis is interesting, and the ratings are high. I have high expectations.

71st Emmy Awards Nominees and Winners

Before I start, it's worth noting that writer/actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge dethroned Julia Louis-Dreyfus from a 6 season spanning death gripe on Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series Category. Well deserved too, her acting masterclass in Fleabag season 2 was a joy to behold.

Without further ado, here are some of the winners:

Outstanding Drama Series
"Better Call Saul"
"Bodyguard"
WINNER: "Game of Thrones"
"Killing Eve"
"Ozark"
"Pose"
"Succession"
"This Is Us"

PN: Bullshit_ win IMO. Better Call Saul and Succession were clearly much better candidates.

Outstanding Comedy Series
"Barry"
WINNER: "Fleabag"
"The Good Place"

"Russian Doll"
"Schitt's Creek"
"Veep"

PN: Well deserved.

- Kit Harington, "Game of Thrones"
- Bob Odenkirk, "Better Call Saul"

- Emerald Fennell, "Killing Eve"
- Peter Gould and Thomas Schnauz, "Better Call Saul"
