Sowore is not someone that will abscond even if he has is passport. Seizing his passport is just a formality. Thanks to Buhari for making him more popular.

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has granted bail to Omoyele Sowore, Publisher of Sahara Reporters and Former presidential Candidate of the AAC.

He is also to submit his International passport.

No. American passport is the property of US government. But Sowore only has US Green Card. He refused to obtain US citizenship.

It depend on your level of conviction and principle. I have a Green Card but does not want US citizenship. Though I have one for another country. Before I applied for that one, i felt I do not need it. I only forced myself to get it because it will make traveling easier because I always go for conferences and applying for Visa each time is a pain in the ass. More so, it saves cost.

Sowore may have other reasons. I think one cannot contest for Nigeria presidential election as a citizen of another country. He is a wise fellow.

Here is the issue with Nigerian media, they have problem with the truth...
Here is what really happened at the court in layman's language, devoid of sentiment, prejudice and bias.
The govt. and Sowore's defense applied for orders today which were later withdrawn.
The DSS withdrew the request for 20 days additional detention period because they had concluded their investigation and charges had been filed. Sowore's defense team also withdrew Sowore's application for bail as the detention order had expired.
Sowore's offence is bailable, so its unusual to let him go with assurances that he'll appear in court for the trial.
It's why he has been ordered to submit international passport.
Just report the facts and stop trying to sensationalize it to appeal to people's bias.
