Vanguard is a very shameless media platform. They represent everything bad about journalism in Nigeria. The level of bigotry, falsehood, lies, propaganda etc that emanates from that platform is alarming. If not for the threat of legal action, they wouldn’t have retracted the story. Sadly, Nigeria press council that is supposed to regulate media platforms is a toothless goat. Journalisms has gone to the dogs in Nigeria.

Freedom of press does not give the press the liberty to publish falsehood. If there's any truth to the story Vanguard published then they can go sort it out in court. But for you to label him a dictator because he attempts to clear his name by suing shows clearly you are just being mischievious.

If thugs loyal to his party invaded Vanguard's office or went after Timi Frank, you can label him such.
If he tried actively or passively to prevent the publishing of this story in question, you can label him such.
But if in trying to clear his name by use of the courts as every law abiding citizen of the country should, then you really need to have your brain examined for labelling him as such.
