FestacGirl:Once I move it to off dock terminal the better. 1.5million will do it very well . A surface duty of 1 million shall be paid which translates to 1,281,000. Which makes you comfortable on the road anyway. One cannot clear it at sallaum at these price/ cost,hence the movement to off dock terminal . |

Give BOL to Agents 2 days prior for arival of vessel Get valuation done and duty paid that same day The second day is for releasing with customs, Payment of shipping and terminal charges... Releasing from shipping company to get TDO Third day . exit of the vehicle out of the terminal . What makes these realiasable rest solely on the agent and importer... Telex release is provided by the importer on time ., and the agent gets to the port on real time basid which boost quality of time to service. All these stem from the fact that having the best attitude to handle any job given . Though no one is perfect . Promises may get friends but it's performance that keeps and binds them together. No struggle , no success. no aim , no achievement. |

oliverjiad: @oliverjaid. At times it could be funny but if you put so much energy into it the better. For instance you get a valuation from custom on same day you have your BOL at hand. What stops you from paying duty that same day , what stops from releasing. What stops you from making shipping and terminal the next , get your TDO and exit and move out. Have done countless of time . I give BOL on time to a valuation officer with a tip to make it faster despite the fact that we pay for the valuation . When ship arrives the vehicle i am clearing is already sorted out from the parking lot either at Grimaldi or sallaum. Despite the fact that we Dont make so much money in clearing cars,that does not mean we shouldn't put so much energy into it. Passion for the job is the X factor. 1 Like |
