The fringe players are hungry to break into the team and could care less what Emery has to say with his tactics at this point because it has not yielded any fruit. For those wondering, Sunday's comeback victory had little or nothing to do with Emery, the players chose not to be 'Scared" and took matters into their hands by ditching any tactics. I noticed it against Frankfurt, remember I told you @sod09 when Martinez was kicking the ball to the sky despite players surrounding him for a pass to build from the back? At this point, the players are bearing the brunt from the fans and they are being attacked with malicious comments. Has anyone noticed that the team that plays during the weekdays have a totally different mindset to the team that plays on the weekends? And please, no one should tell me it is Europa league, Frankfurt or Carabao Cup. I hope Emery builds from this victory as we head to Old Trashford where our record is horrible.

Exactly the players are the scapegoat xhaka wasn't this terrible under wengay apart from his cards but this one look clueless he can't complete simple pass. Even calamity mustafi now have 2 CS compared to those clowns that obey Emery tactics.
Emery is beginning to feel the heat it's only a matter of time before he free them to play their mind since it's working. I so much love that yesterday game, those young lads were patience and also ruthless cos they wanted more when the flood gate starts I think only Smith was messing up.

If we don't kill United at OT, Omo e go pain me no be small. This is the worst United team I've seen in my life. Walai, he go pain me well if we draw or lose that match.

I hope Unai can take advantage of the slump in the form of our rivals. 3rd is a real possibility this year.

Finally, once KT regains match fitness, it will be difficult for Kola to displace him ooo. I know he played against a championship sid, but I was impressed.

P.s. Nelson will need to work very hard. The way I see things, Saka might not allow him to get those precious minutes. Chambers has to start against United (if he doesn't, it would be very unfair to him).

Oh, e be like say bench don format Mustafi ooo. Baba dey gather sense small small ooo. cheesy grin

Those yeye FA people don start thier trash, why give us Liverpool? Away for that matter, angry

Let's hope Liverpool will sacrifice the cup for Bpl and UCL.

Another cruising to finals for city, I can't remember city facing any big team throughout the fa cup and carabao cup last season..

With ref making dubious decisions for them

So much for their yeye treble

Last season they cruised to the finals in those cup games with much ease, apart from them having the squad depth, Ref even favoured them in some of the games, e.g Swansea..

Last season, Arsenal faced Spurs and utd in Carabao and FA cup respectively..

Utd faced Arsenal and Chelsea before getting knocked by Wolves .
Chelsea met Liverpool, utd spurs
Liverpool faced Chelsea and wolves.

City's bench is good, but they are very beatable in cup games against any decent side.

I see it as an opportunity to redeem ourselves.

correct!

One should never fear an opponent, only respect them. I also beilive the youth policy should be maintained. If those young lads really want it, then they will go all out fighting for it.

It's a shame if Pep continues to dominate England, those Spanish and barca fans no go let us hear word..
I like him, he isn't arrogant and plays football the right way, but I hate bullying.

Liverpool will shuffle against us, but its still 55-45 , they are beatable without their first eleven, but I still don't want to play them at Anfield..

Carabao is one of the opportunities for the young lads to play top football and impress us, early exit will pain me.

Mr Lana is playing mind game with y'all, we know utd may be bad ATM, but Its a big game and no team will go to old Trafford and cruise easily..

City and barca struggled to win there few months ago and Liverpool drew there..

For me draw will fair and a struggled win will be very good.

Lana is looking for a soft landing, we win, and he make you feel he expects it, they win and he trolls us badly.

That guy na crook.

Honestly I don't have problem with pep dominating, if you have money you spend wisely.
Not like his counter part in Manchester

You're so on point. Dude was just sitting down till we recovered after Auba's goal. Then he stood up to begin to gesture tactics and all that meaningless crap that works no more.

I love what Martinez did that night. Dude deserve an epl game. Very confident to me. Emery is still experimenting to me. Man is better off as an asst manager, trust me.

I miss players like Dinho, that ditch a coach's plan and try theirs and it worked so well. Players in such fold are Ballack, Piero, Trezeguet and Drogba.
See what Chambers did 2nights ago. Emery still came to say Chambers didnt play according to his plan. But dude was effective in the win. If he isnt careful, we might see more ditchings that yield results. Right now, i prefer that to any heavenly tactics that yields nothing.

Chambers did not really violate Emery's instructions.

Emery had warned Chambers to sit back and avoid overlapping. He was trying to protect Chambers since the left back role isn't familiar to him. Chambers chose to push forward ignoring Emery's pity.

Emery only pointed out Chambers' resilience and confidence, not that he was disobedient.
