Just saw this, because of the yeye schedule don't think shaunae will compete in the 200m (she’s protesting), if the schedule doesn't change, shaunae will compete only in the 400m at Doha. So Dina has a very very good shot. Ditto Lyles.

Our hopeful Nigeria's Chukwuebuka Enekwechi is 10th best distance in world with 21.80m.

If he can find about half a metre (not easy but also not impossible) or more he stands a chance to propel himself into a medal position.

Ese Brume is by far our best chance of winning the gold medal.

The German girl is a strong and worthy favourite who has the rarely achieved stats of not only being undefeated, but of jumping beyond 7m in all her competitions.

The amazing thing about Ese Brume's great performances that ranks her second in world this year, is that she never had the benefits of high level competition such as the DL series. So it is yet to be known how much further she could jump in the highest level competition at the world championships.

People always ask, no I have no athletic bone in me, I just love to watch and follow sports. I didn't compete in school not for lack of trying lol I just wasn't good, I was part of the cheerleading squad though. I look forward to all the track events, especially the 100mH & 400mH women. I am also eager to see if ShellyAnn is back.

D way Ese jumped during d Turkish national trial was impressive. I will give her a chance. Okagbare might just pull it up in d 200m. She is surely in It 4 d bronze behind ET and DAS.

Okagbare DNS why does this girl always disappoint? You know, there is only so much witness can tolerate of divarism and supestarism. And some of us are heartily fed-up of Nigerian sportsmen and women behaving badly and expecting our support just because they blame government did not provide one thing or another. As for Nigeria authorities, it is about time that they begin to place unashamed emphases on patriotism as part of the selection process. What this would mean is emphasis on an industrial method of producing athletes to represent Nigeria and less on Talent. I envisage selecting young individuals based on physical attributes. You find teenagers no shorter than 5ft 9 (men) and 5ft 6 (women) and train them for various events. Coaches, and not the prospective young person, selects the event each youngster are to receive training. These trainees will also be thought in classrooms how to comport themselves abroad what and learn what the Nation expects of them and the meaning of sacrifice. Nigeria has so many determined youngsters able to represent Nigeria well and proudly at these world events and getting them ready is not that difficult.

Ibadin failed to make it to the semi finals of the 800m men.

Alowonle failed to make it to the 400mH men finals. He came last in his semi finals.
